Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath are on cloud nine as they are all set to embrace parenthood for first time. He reveals what preparations are going on in the Sharma household for little one's arrival.
Be it Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas, the year 2018 was all about embarking on the journey of forever with their respective soulmates! But for India’s favourite comedian, Kapil Sharma, it was also about prosperity and bliss. In the past few years, Kapil had his own share of highs and lows in his professional career, and his love life too, had been through rough patches. But an official confirmation on November 27, 2018, about Kapil sealing his ‘happily ever after’ with ladylove, Ginni Chatrath, proved to be a turning point in his life, personally and professionally! It was on December 12, 2018, when Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had taken vows around the sacred fire and were tied by the bond of holy matrimony. And in 2019, Kapil and Ginni will not only celebrate their first anniversary but also the arrival of the new addition in their sweet little family. Kapil and Ginni are on cloud nine as in just a few months, the stork will visit them with an adorable little member, who will fill their lives with love and happiness.
Just a few hours after soon-to-be parents, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had left for their babymoon to Canada in July 2019, the former had finally let the cat out of the bag. After months of speculations about Ginni’s pregnancy, Kapil had confirmed the same to the Mumbai Mirror and had stated, "I just want to take care of my wife and be by her side for now. We are obviously very excited as it's our first kid but my mother is the most excited. She has been waiting for this moment for years now. We are just praying for Ginni and the baby's health."
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kapil shared what preparations are going on in the Sharma household for the arrival of their little one. The elated daddy-to-be said, "Frankly speaking, what will I prepare for? I have no idea about this experience but my entire family is very excited. We are waiting for the new member in the family, be it a baby boy and girl. In terms of preparations, Ginni and I are purchasing a few things and keeping it exciting. We right now don't know if we are purchasing for the boy or girl, hence we are purchasing general things like a pram etc."
Revealing that this is the happiest phase for him, Kapil Sharma continued, "When you are famous and are unmarried, you feel lonely when you go back home, but now that I am married, I have so much to look forward to. My mother also now spends a lot of time with us and hence we support each other. I have a connection with my mother, when I am in my low phase, she feels low as well and visa versa." In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, elaborating on how the Sharma-Chatrath clan is happily looking forward to welcoming the new member in their clan, Kapil Sharma was quoted as saying, "There is no prep because we don't know if it would be a boy or girl. It's a happy time for the family and everybody is looking forward to welcoming the new member. I am dubbing for a film for children. So, once the baby grows up, it will pay off."
After returning from their babymoon in Canada, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had attended their writer-friend, Vankush Arora and his wife, Riddhi Bhatt’s baby shower. An array of telly stars, including Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah, Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti amongst others, were spotted at the ceremony to bless the soon-to-be-parents. Ginni had flaunted her baby bump at the baby shower in a blue gown with the pregnancy glow evident on her face and hubby, Kapil by her side!
A Mumbai Mirror report had confirmed Ginni Chatrath’s pregnancy and had quoted a source revealing her due month. The report had stated, “They got the good news just a few days ago, Ginni’s due date is in December. Kapil has been busy with the shoot of his eponymous comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show, but he has now scheduled his shoot in a way that he gets to spend more with her. She too has been accompanying him on the shoot so they can spend time together." The source had continued, "His colleagues ensure that she is well looked after on the set. At home, Kapil’s mother is taking care of her. Ginni’s family has also flown down from Jalandhar."
