After Karan Johar extended his wishes for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the reason for him not attending the 3-day long soiree, surfaced online.
Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani hosted a three-day long grand pre-wedding soiree for their youngest son, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. From the B-town celebrities, cricketers, and renowned singers to business persons, everyone touched down in Jamnagar to be a part of the same event. However, it was Karan Johar's absence from the soiree that grabbed many eyeballs. While everyone was searching for the reason why KJo gave Anant and Radhika's pre-wedding soiree a miss, we stumbled upon the reason behind it.
As per a recent report by India Today, there was a specific reason why Karan Johar didn't attend the grand pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. A source told the portal that not only was Karan Johar invited to the wedding, but he was all set to take centre stage with a duet performance with Manish Malhotra on Anant and Radhika's sangeet. Sharing the reason why KJo couldn't attend the event, the source stated that the filmmaker was diagnosed with a bout of viral and throat ache at the last minute, which is why he had to cancel the plans.

It was on March 6, 2024, when Karan Johar took to his IG handle and posted an adorable video of Radhika Merchant's bridal entry. The diva could be seen walking down the aisle while Anant awaited her on the stage, being all emotional. The entire Ambani clan and the guests could be seen being stuck in the magical moment. However, what melted hearts was when Anant and Radhika shared a cutesy moment and hugged each other. On the other hand, Anant also gave a sweet peck of love on Radhika's forehead, and it melted our hearts. However, sharing the video, KJo penned a long and loving note to congratulate the soon-to-be-married couple. The filmmaker also showered love upon the Ambani clan, including Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani for such a wonderful pre-wedding soiree and representing rich Indian culture through the same.
Apart from Karan Johar, there had been several A-listers from Bollywood, who didn't attend the grand pre-wedding soiree of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Among others, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Rekha, Hrithik Roshan and his family, the Deols, were nowhere to be seen at Anant and Radhika's pre-wedding celebrations.

For those who don't know, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are reportedly going to tie the knot on July 12, 2024. Although not much detail about their wedding is available online, reports suggested that Ambanis are going to spend a whopping amount of Rs. 1000 crores at the wedding soiree of Anant and Radhika. As per the reports, the wedding celebrations will begin in April 2024.
