Karan Johar Reveals He Cried After Alia Bhatt Told Him About Her Pregnancy, Says 'I Can't Wait'

Film director, Karan Johar revealed his emotions after Alia Bhat, whom he consider his daughter, told him about her pregnancy. Read on to know more!

Film director, Karan Johar had given Alia Bhatt her debut film, Student Of The Year. Since then, the two share a beautiful relationship. From sharing life secrets to pulling each other's legs, they are like family. And on the wedding day of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar was specially invited. Over the years, we have seen Alia become a part of Karan's family.

Alia had left the entire nation shocked by sharing her pregnancy news. Just like her wedding announcement, Alia had posted two cutesy pictures. In the first picture, we could see Alia and Ranbir looking at their baby's sonography report on the computer. The next picture was a family of lions. Along with it, Alia had written:

"Our baby,coming soon."

Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Karan Johar talked about how he had felt when Alia revealed her pregnancy news. The director shared that he cried. Talking about it, Karan opened up about how Alia came to his office and gave him a hug. And he was not able to believe that she was having a baby. He said:

"I cried. She came to my office. I remember I was having a bad hair day and I was sitting in a hoodie with cap. And she told me this. And my first emotion was that tears just came out and she came and gave me a hug. I was like I can't believe you are having a baby. It was like your baby is having a baby. It was a very emotional moment for me, it still is!"

Karan Johar revealed how Alia has transformed into an outstanding artist. He shared how the last 12 years have been magical with Alia as he was literally parenting her. He said:

"I've seen her from a girl transforming into an outstanding artiste, into this wonderful self-assured woman. And i feel so much pride. Because really, she was my first burst of being a parent. My first burst of parenting was actually with her and she walked into my office when she was 17. She's 29 today and these last 12 years have been magical for both of us because I share such a strong bond with her. I can't wait to hold her baby in my arms. It will be a very emotional moment, as close to when I held my own children."
