Karan Johar finally reacted to trolls who slammed Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's appearance on 'Koffee With Karan 8' and gave a sassy reply.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone recently graced the couch on the first episode of Koffee With Karan season 8. Apart from delighting their fans with their wedding video, the couple faced a barrage of online trolling, especially because of Deepika's revelations about their open relationship in their initial dating days. While Deepika and Ranveer didn't react to the trolling, the show's host, Karan Johar seemingly addressed the trolling the couple is receiving for their latest appearance on KWK.
Karan Johar is a social butterfly, who never minces his words while interacting with his fans and friends. On October 29, 2023, the host of Koffee With Karan Season 8, hosted an Instagram Live session to talk about the buzz around the eighth season of his show. During the session, Karan Johar addressed the trolling that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got for their episode. Karan said:
“Do what you need to do because no one’s looking.”

Not just this. The filmmaker also tried to teach the trolls a lesson and slammed them by indirectly stating the negative impacts of trolling. Karan mentioned that trolling doesn't take a person to places, as the person involved in this malicious act lands nowhere. He was heard saying:
“Trolling gets you nowhere. You are landing nowhere.”
It so happened that during her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8, Deepika Padukone shed some light on her dating days with Ranveer Singh and revealed that she didn't commit to him until he proposed to her, due to her difficult past relationships. Talking about their casual relationship, the actress said that even if they were seeing other people, they would keep coming back to each other. Deepika further shared that whenever she met other people, at the back of her head, she knew she was committed to Ranveer.

Soon after Deepika's video was shared on Reddit, netizens were unhappy with the actress' statement. They rushed to the post's comment section and took a dig at Deepika, pointing out how she kept Ranveer as a backup, and they also sympathised with the latter. One user wrote, "Ranveer was pissed! The way he said 'Very Clearly'... Dudes hurt and pissed!! DP's nose scratch and eyes telling a different story though!" Another one commented, "Dont forget she remembered her depression phase right when her movie releases were around the corner." Check out the comments below:
