Karan Veer Mehra was declared the winner of Bigg Boss 18, which Salman Khan hosted. His friend for more than 12 years, Vivian Dsena, became the first runner-up of the controversial reality show. Karan took home the winner's trophy and a whopping cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh. Now, a video has gone viral: Salman was seen giving Karan a gold-designed trophy. The actor then ordered Vivian to hold the mike.
The grand finale of Bigg Boss 18 was a starry affair after Rajat Dalal got evicted. Karan and Vivivan had a tough fight but reached the top 2. Host, Salman announced that Karan won the season and said, "Congratulations Karan". The actor had a mike in his hand and he told Vivian, "Pakdega please". The Madhubala actor was left stunned and Karan was then seen running and hugging Shilpa Shirodkar and Chum Darang.
Netizens on Reddit loved what Karan did and called him the favourite winner. One user commented, "Vivian is like "Sir it's done ?"
"Mere contract ka kya hua." Another one said, "Bro Salman is also not happy man I loveee it." A third user also commented, "Joke Vivian, Jealous Vivian, Arrogant Vivian but not a winner. I didn't know him very well before but i know him now."
Karan's journey in the Bigg Boss 18 house was bold and fearless, and fans could relate his sojourn to that of late Bigg Boss 13 winner, Sidharth Shukla. In a recent interview with India Today, the actor spoke about being compared to the late star. Karan said:
"Bohut acha ladka tha wo. Mera bohut acha dost tha. Humne kaafi zyada time spend nahi kiya, but we knew each other very well. Main khush hoon ki mujhe ussey compare kiya jaa raha hai. Wo dil ka bohut bada insaan tha."
Karan also remembered when he came to Mumbai initially, Sidharth had a bike and he requested the actor to get some pictures clicked with it for his portfolio. Karan shared that Sidharth came down, handed the keys and told him to click pictures riding the bike on the backroad. Karan was shocked to see Sidharth giving his expensive keys and said he had a big heart.
The actor had an extraordinary journey in the Bigg Boss 18 show. He was known for wearing his opinions on his sleeves and was also slammed by the other contestants for being expressive. His game strategy was targeted, and his personal life was brought in front of everyone while contestants took a dig at his two divorces. Despite being lashed by Salman in Weekend Ka Vaar segments, Karan maintained his calm and emerged as the winner of season 18. He tried keeping a mutual bond with contestant Vivian Dsena. His bond with Chum Darang was loved, while his selfless act towards Shilpa Shirodkar, along with Chum, was also appreciated.
