Karan Veer Mehra reacted to his war of words with Asim Riaz, and also ended up differentiating the latter with Salman Khan.
Karan Veer Mehra left everyone surprised as soon as he won Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, and now he is in the news for being a part of Bigg Boss 18. Soon after winning KKK 14, Karan Veer Mehra indulged in an online war with Asim Riaz. He called out Asim for misbehaving with Rohit Shetty on KKK 14 and stated he needed medical help. Following the same, Asim abused him, and he also hit back at him. And now, he talked about the same.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Karan Veer Mehra shared that he's an '80s guy, and they all used to break bones with bats rather than fighting on Twitter with words, and thus, it's all futile. He also stated that Asim isn't a bad guy and the latter is just living up to his image, which also has no value. Karan also added that Salman Khan has guts, and people wouldn't dare to come and say things about him, while Asim doesn't possess any kind of guts, and anyone can come, make comments on him, and leave. In Karan's words:
"I am an 80s kid. We are used to breaking bones with a bat. I don’t enjoy this war of words on Twitter. Just because you have gotten some money and hired a PR, people don’t do it unnecessarily. It is all futile. Asim is not a bad guy, he is just living up to his image, but all of this has no value. If he had the guts, he wouldn’t have waited this long. Salman Khan has guts. Nobody can dare tell him anything because you see that vibration coming from him. But with Asim, anybody can come, tell him things and leave.”
In the same interview, Karan Veer Mehra talked about his stint in Bigg Boss 18. The actor added that everyone wants to be like Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir, and Amitabh Bachchan, but in Bigg Boss, everyone's villain side comes into display. He also added that he is unsure how he would react and it all would depend on his other co-contestants. Sharing why he is scared, Karan mentioned:
"We all want to be like SRK, Salman, Aamir, and Amitabh Bachchan at some point. But in a house like Bigg Boss, we might realize that we may be a villain too. I don’t know how will I react, it all depends on the co-contestants. I am also waiting to explore different sides of me which I am also scared of.”
Soon after Karan Veer Mehra gave his interview about Asim and stated that the latter needed medical help, Asim hit back at the KKK 14 winner. Asim took to his social media handles and bashed the Karan, and also abused him. Later, clapping back at Asim, Karan also penned a harsh Tweet, stating that too much steroid had hit Asim's brain.
In an interview with DNA, Karan Veer Mehra said that it was stupid of Asim to react in that harsh way on KKK 14 and charge Rohit Shetty. Karan also added that Asim needs a reality check because he just lives in his own Barbie world, and thinks he would get support from his fans forever. Karan also added that Asim requires some medical help to control with his temper.
Ever since Karan Veer Mehra hit the headlines with his stint on Bigg Boss 18, his personal life has been analysed. For the unversed, Karan married Devika Mehra in 2009. Well, after nine years of marital bliss, the couple parted ways. Karan gave love another chance and got married to Nidhi Seth in 2021. This marriage was also short-lived, as Nidhi and Karan called it quits in 2023, and the former revealed that the reason for this decision was toxicity.
