Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the extensive media attention her son, Taimur has got over the years and shared how her hubby, Saif Ali Khan helped her deal with it all.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are undoubtedly one of the most popular parents in Tinseltown, and proof of the same can simply be found by analysing the massive media attention their children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan seem to get from paparazzi. The adorable munchkins are the favourite of every shutterbug out there, as it is with their cutesy antics, gestures and expression that they win everyone’s hearts. Moreover, as parents, both Saif and Kareena seem to be very comfortable with it, and they do not worry over their children’s pictures being taken.
In a recent interaction with ABP News, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the kind of extensive media coverage his firstborn, Taimur Ali Khan has received right from his birth. The doting mommy revealed that she never lost her cool or objected to any of it, as she believed it might have led to cause an adverse effect on her son’s understanding about the matter. Elaborating more, she said:
“I think the only way I could deal with the media attention on Taimur was to actually be chilled about it because if I were hyper about it – which maybe I was inside – or openly expressed what I was feeling, I feel somewhere, it would have affected Taimur. If he (Taimur) was aware that something was upsetting me or I was affected by too many cameras around him, if I kept stressing over kya kar raha hai? Kyun photo le rahe? or I told the photographer, photo mat lo!, it would have left a lasting impact on him.”

Moving further in the conversation, Kareena Kapoor revealed how as a parent, it was her hubby, Saif Ali Khan who helped her deal with the entire situation patiently. She revealed how her husband told her how they cannot run away from the situation, and instead of scaring their son from the matter, it is preferable that they stay comfortable with it. In her words:
“We can’t run away from this, Saif told me. He believes that instead of trying to scare him further, let’s just take it in our stride and just walk with your head down outside the airport or wherever it is. After a certain age, Taimur will understand — which he does even now — that his parents are famous. He’s quite easy about it.”
Previously, in an interview with Forbes India, Kareena Kapoor revealed an interesting conversation she had with her son, Taimur Ali Khan, over the matter of the latter getting a lot of attention from the paparazzi. The doting mother expressed that her son doesn’t understand the meaning of his parents being actors and instead is curious if the paparazzi clicks his picture for being a VIP.

Back on January 19, 2024, Kareena Kapoor attended her son, Taimur Ali Khan’s sports event at his school, Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Taking to her IG stories, the actress and mommy dropped a snapshot of herself, flaunting her son, Taimur’s bronze medal. She called herself a ‘hysterical mom’ for wearing his son’s medal, and prided over him. She wrote:
“Yes, I'm the mother who wears his medals. Proud hysterical mom. Bronze is the new gold. Mera beta. Anyone else do that?”
