Kareena Kapoor Khan Invites Her Mother-In-Law, Sharmila Tagore On Her Radio Show, 'What Women Want'

We live in a society that believes a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law can never live in peace. There is a stereotype that is attached to their relationship that they can never live together in peace, thanks to our saas-bahu serials. In the family tree, they are the most complicated branches, who love the same man but can never love each other. Kareena shares an extremely warm relationship with her mother-in-law, Sharmila and it can clearly be seen in her interviews. And on her wedding the actress had ditched all the designers and had opted for her mother-in-law's wedding dress which was passed on to her as a family heirloom. Kareena and Sharmila ji's easy, breezy and fun bond has redefined saas bahu's dramatic relationship.

On October 1, 2019, Kareena kick-started the second season of her radio show, What Women Want and her mother-in-law, Sharmila ji became the guest of honour. Their pictures have been trending on the social media, wherein, we can spot the saas-bahu duo posing for the lens. Take a look at it below:

Kareena has been enjoying her stint as a radio jockey and the last season of What Women Want had gained her a new fan base. In an interview with the IANS, Kareena had talked about trying different things and had shared, "The idea today is only about content -- and being a part of good content, whether it is the web, cinema, stage or radio. I think today artists and actors are all about supporting content. I am just happy that I have got to try my hand. It's the first time for me. Coming back to Kareena and her mother-in-law, Shamila ji's bond, in a throwback interview, the actress had shared, "For me, my mother-in-law will always be the eternal begum, a career-oriented woman who started a family, who ran the house, looked after three children but yet worked in the biggest commercial successes as well as some great serious cinema. She kind of always tried to balance everything. To me, she still is and still looks super gorgeous. Right from the beginning till now, I can't take my eyes off her. I look up to her in every way, so for me, she will always be that."

In another interview, Kareena had shared that Sharmila ji is her inspiration. She had stated, "She is my inspiration as she continued her career despite getting married and having children. She worked with the biggest superstars and filmmakers. It is important for me to do that. She will always be my inspiration to have a career and family together.
