Begum of Pataudi, Kareena Kapoor Khan must have also gone through the same emotions of joy, excitement, jitters, and happiness all at once. Kareena Kapoor had decided to add Khan to her surname on October 16, 2012, after tying the knot with Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan. The love story of Saif and Kareena is nothing less than a Bollywood romantic movie and is termed as a fairytale! They had surpassed all the prejudiced notions and became one another’s and have been living their 'happily ever after' since then. Saif and Kareena’s wedding was a star-studded affair and the royal couple of Bollywood had looked stunning!
From marrying while at the peak of her career to embracing motherhood and working throughout her pregnancy, Kareena Kapoor Khan has broken many stereotypes of the Bollywood industry. When the married woman was considered less likely to rule the box-office, Kareena had given breathtaking performances. And continues to do so even after embracing motherhood. Saif and Kareena had welcomed their little bundle of joy, Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016, and became a part of the parent’s club of Bollywood. But do you know with whom Kareena had shared the good news first? Revealing details about her pregnancy with #MyPregaNews, in a video, Kareena mentioned how she first shared the news with her hubby, Saif. All throughout Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy, she had given some major inspiration to all the expecting mommies. Be it her fashion goals or working throughout her pregnancy, Kareena had proved that a woman can do anything and everything at any point in time. During her pregnancy, in an interview with the leading portal, Kareena had shared her experience and had said, “I am very excited. I am not nervous at all. Kareena had further added, “Pregnancy is a physiological milestone, don't confuse it with a sickness - and surely don't let the people around you, including your doctor, treat it like one. Do you have to be careful of hydration, meal timings or calcium intake? Yes. But do you have to give up on living your life and make it all about the pregnancy and the growing stomach? No. And this is exactly why a history of staying healthy help. Pregnancy and motherhood are fun if you are ready to enjoy every change in the body, every milestone with your baby. Mother and child is a bond that transcends waistlines, religious lines, borders, and beliefs. Here's to all of us, the women of today and the children of tomorrow.”
In an interview with Filmfare, Kareena Kapoor Khan had spoken about breaking the norms and shelling out inspiration for her post-marriage and post-pregnancy phase. Kareena had remarked, “I’m sure a lot of models and actors in our country and in the west have done this as well. But probably, there hasn’t been a commercial actress, who’s not taken a sabbatical or remained behind closed doors. But pregnancy is the most normal thing. I was excited about starting a family and having a child. I was looking forward it to and I wanted to share my joy with my family, friends, and fans. So there was nothing to hide. Even the fact that I had gained some weight. Actually, I put on most of my weight during my last trimester. It was also something that I wanted to enjoy. Every woman puts on weight and enjoys that period in her life.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan had headed off to Melbourne, Australia in the last week of October 2019, to unveil the trophies of the Women’s T20 World Cup, which had taken place on November 1, 2019. Post the unveiling, during a Q&A event when Kareena was asked if marriage and childbirth came with insecurities related to work, she had replied, “No. But there was pressure not to get married because it’s feared that actresses after marriage don't work. Their careers are over. And after a baby more so. People told me that my career was practically over. But for me, that didn't matter. I've done so much work since. Also, I balance my time with family. I'm particular about that time and about being around. It's a side of me that I can't run away from. It’s something that I want. Work is there for sure. But my family base has always been strong.” (Must Read: Chhavi Mittal Posts An Emotional Birthday Wish For Hubby, Mohit Hussein, Their Pic Is Unmissable)
