Kareena Kapoor is celebrating her 25 years in the Hindi film industry. On the important occasion, she sat down for an interview with Fever FM and shared how she went against the tide. During the conversation, Kareena explained that she is a little similar to her iconic character of 'Poo' from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and 'Geet' from Jab We Met as she always listed to her heart. She was quoted as saying:

"Poo and Geet were so lovable. That's why people believed that's me; she was as true as anyone. Poo was so confident even while walking with two different shoes… saying that it was couture! Geet was also someone who loved herself, loved life… who didn't think that if I run away, what would happen."

Kareena recalled that people advised her against marrying early because they thought it would end her acting career. Despite the noise, the actress went ahead and got married to the love of her life, Saif Ali Khan, on October 16, 2012. Later, the actress welcomed her sons, Taimur, in 2016 and Jeh, in 2021. Kareena shared that she has rather worked more after becoming a wife and a mother as she believed in herself. In her words:

"In some way, I am a little bit like that because I have also done what I want in my life. People like to see that connectivity… People were like, 'Don't get married! Your career will be over!' I was like, 'Okay, if my career is over, so be it!' I have worked more after marriage! After having children! So I think it is about taking up the challenge, believing in yourself and going against the tide."
