Karisma Kapoor recently recalled how she reacted when Kareena Kapoor broke the news of her dating Saif Ali Khan over a phone call.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are one of the 'It' couples in Bollywood. The duo got married in 2012. Saif and Kareena often shell out 'happy couple' goals out there. The duo is currently enjoying the best phase of their lives with their two adorable kids, Jehangir and Taimur. Well, recently, Kareena's sister, Karisma recalled how she was left in shock when the former broke the news of her dating Saif Ali Khan.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor recently graced The Great Indian Kapil Show, wherein the latter recalled how she reacted upon learning her sister was dating her then co-star, Saif. Karisma revealed that before breaking the news of her dating Saif Ali Khan on the phone, Kareena wanted her sister to sit down somewhere. Karisma remarked how she sat on a sofa while shopping in London, not knowing what she was about to learn. When Kareena said that she was dating Saif, Karisma remained puzzled. In Karisma's words:
"Kareena actually asked me to sit down somewhere before she could say what she wanted to say. I didn’t understand the need, but I did find a sofa in the London store where I was shopping. She went like, ‘The thing is that, I’m in love with Saif. We are together. We are dating,’ and I wanted to hold on more tightly to the sofa."
Karisma Kapoor further revealed that it took her a while to process all of it, as Saif was her buddy and co-star. On the other hand, Kareena was asked who confessed first, she or Saif. To this, Kareena shared that it's she who first confessed to Saif about her romantic feelings for him. She also added that as she's her favourite, thus, before telling anyone about her feelings, she said to Saif about what she felt about them, because it was important for her to say it directly to her then-love interest and now-husband. Kareena can be quoted as saying:
"Knowing me, I would have confessed first. It was important that I told him directly what I felt about us. It was important. Everyone knows I’m my own favourite. So before telling anyone else, I had to tell him first.”
Marriage comes along with a lot of adjustments, as two persons being together for the rest of their lives, requires their attention to both of their needs, and one has to think for both as well. The same is the case with Kareena and Saif. In an old interview, Saif humorously added that he feels grateful for marrying Kareena instead of Karisma.
Kareena shared that Saif prefers to keep their room very cold, around 16 degrees, while she can tolerate the AC being 20, so they both agreed upon the temperature being 19. Saif, on the other hand, revealed that he is grateful for marrying Kareena, and if he would end up marrying Karisma, then it would be very difficult to maintain the AC because the latter can tolerate the AC being till 25 degrees.
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's marriage is nothing less than a romantic fairytale novel. Well, Saif was earlier married to Amrita Singh, with whom he has two kids, Sara and Ibrahim. Well, Kareena shares a good bond with her stepkids and vice versa. Before being in a relationship with Saif, Kareena was romantically involved with Shahid Kapoor.
