Recently, at an event Bollywood actor, Kartik Aaryan got emotional as he revealed his mom was diagnosed with cancer and had fought the war bravely. Read on to know more!
Bollywood actor, Kartik Aaryan has been going through an emotional time as his mother, Mala Tiwari, was diagnosed with cancer. Recently, the actor, who loves spreading smiles and never stop cracking jokes, addressed his mother's cancer journey and revealed that she had finally won the battle against cancer. Kartik also emphasised on the importance of early detection of the deadly disease.
Kartik is a complete family man, and he makes sure to take out his time for his relationships. He has time and again, showed the world what relationship means to him. He doesn't shy away from sharing personal life details with his fans. But it is his bond with his mother, Mala Tiwari, that he has often spoken about.

On February 24, 2022, Kartik took to his Instagram handle and posted a beautiful video from an event that he had graced. In the video, he addresses the doctors and talks about their role in a cancer patient's life. Alongside it, Kartik bared his heart out on his mother, Mala's cancer journey and how he had managed her chemotherapy and shoot of these songs. Kartik wrote:
"From going for chemotherapy sessions during the shoot of these songs, to now dancing on stage on the same- The journey has been arduous! But her Positivity, Fortitude and Fearlessness kept us going."
Kartik further revealed that his mother had won the battle against cancer. The doting son also applauded her strength. He wrote:
"Today i can proudly say: My Mom fought the battle against cancer and WON. And for that we are all stronger. I am so so proud of you Mummy and I pay my respects to all the people who could not make it and to all the people who have shown courage fighting this disease."
For the unversed, Kartik's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago. The actor had always talked about it and had shared how one should not be afraid of the disease. He had also revealed the importance of getting it diagnosed at an early stage.
On his mother's birthday, Kartik had shared a picture of his phone's wallpaper. He had put a photo with his mother as the wallpaper. Alongside it, he had revealed that she would be his wallpaper for his entire life. He had written:
"Happy bday to my wallpaper for life"
