Once, Katrina Kaif mentioned that she would not work with Vivek Oberoi because she thinks that what he did to Salman Khan was genuinely wrong.
Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi's public fight over Aishwarya Rai in 2003 needs no introduction. Vivek blasted Salman through the media and paid for it when the latter ruined his career. The duo has not patched up yet, and it looks like that will never happen. Once, Salman Khan even claimed that he would let his then-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, work with anybody except Vivek Oberoi. And Katrina, too, opened up about the same and said that she is not going to work with Vivek ever.
Recently, we stumbled upon a video of Katrina Kaif, wherein she talked about her decision not to work with Vivek Oberoi. She shared that she understands Salman's sentiments and that what Vivek said and did to him was wrong. However, the Tiger actress added that somebody could still be her colleague if she thinks they had not done anything wrong. Katrina said:
“I understand, and I wouldn't work with Vivek Oberoi. What he said and did with Salman was wrong. If somebody hasn't done anything wrong, in my opinion, I'd still let them be colleagues with me. But what Vivek did was genuinely wrong."

Later, when Katrina Kaif was asked whether Salman Khan had influenced her decision to not work with Vivek Oberoi, she gave a witty response. Instead of answering the journalist, she quipped that they could ask these questions to Salman and she would share the latter's secretary's phone number with them. In Katrina's words:
"I will give Salman's secretary's phone number, and you are free to ask all such questions to him."
Now that the old video has surfaced online, many netizens have reacted to it. While some hailed Katrina for being a loyal girlfriend, others called her out for supporting Salman's toxic behaviour. A user commented, "She wanted to secure her place by not working with Bhoi's enemy..." Another penned, "People consider her like Aishwarya a victim of Salman, while she sees him as a good person, and people are trying to destroy him."

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vivek Oberoi was told that Katrina Kaif said she would never work with him because of his rift with Salman Khan. Reacting to it, Vivek calmly replied that though it was Katrina's prerogative, he was open to working with any actress who fit suitable for the script. The Prince actor even added that he never lets his personal biases rule his judgment and said:
"The lady really doesn't want to work with me? It's the lady's prerogative. Personally, I don't look at my work in that microscopic way. I'd work with anyone that the script requires me to. I'd never let my personal biases rule my judgment... Anyway; I'd rather not focus on the negativity. By God's grace, I'm flooded with so much positive energy right now. I've traded in my ego for my humility, my innocence for experience and my complacency for a raging fire in my belly to excel."

Further, in the same conversation, Vivek confessed that he made an attempt to apologise to Salman Khan and shunned rumours of calling him multiple times. The actor also mentioned that he did so because of karmic reasons and he wished that he had forgotten about that baggage as and when it happened. In his words:
"It was just one attempt, mind you, not many. And I think I did what I had to. That was karmic. Now it's done with. It's baggage that I wish I had forgotten at the terminal."
