Sharmila Tagore with granddaughter, Sara Ali Khan join the finale episode of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and reveal interesting anecdotes about one another before the host, Amitabh Bachchan.
Sharmila Tagore and Sara Ali Khan share the most beautiful bond with one another. Despite being daadi and poti through relations, they have instead become one another’s best friends, and their unmissable equation is loved by many. While they may not share all of their adorable moments on social media, but the love that Sara shares for her darling badi amma needs no introduction.
Recently, the daadi-poti duo, Sharmila Tagore and Sara Ali Khan graced the popular quiz-based reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 during its finale week. Among many other candid interactions which took place between the two of them and the show’s host, Amitabh Bachchan, the latter quipped Sharmila whether she has seen her granddaughter, Sara’s films. He asked:
“Both of us are blessed grandparents. There’s a saying about grandparents, ‘interest is more cherished than your principal’. Your interest is sitting beside you. You must have seen her film, Kedarnath? How did you find it?”

Answering to Big B, Sharmila Tagore simply went down the memory lane as she revealed several anecdotes from Sara’s childhood. She mentioned how her granddaughter would spend hours standing in front of the mirror and enacting several things. Talking more about Sara’s debut film, Sharmila said:
“When Sara was a little girl, she used to stand in front of the mirror all the time, doing her own thing. She was always like that and she has always the had the spark in her. As a newcomer in Kedarnath, she was very good.”
In yet another segment of the show, Amitabh Bachchan introduced Sara Ali Khan to his live audience. Reminiscing the first time that the actress had visited the show with her father, Saif Ali Khan, Big B remarked how much Sara has grown up all this while. In her response, Sara cutely recreated her adaab gesture to Amitabh, something which she did back when she came to the show earlier.

Previously, while promoting her then-released film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke in Kolkata, Sara Ali Khan talked about her grandmother and iconic actress, Sharmila Tagore, who is a native of Bengal as well. Moreover, she even revealed inheriting something really special from her grandmother. Talking more about it, Sara said:
“A pair of chandbalas holds a significant family legacy, passed down from my grandmother, gifted by her mother-in-law, then inherited by my mother, and now destined to be passed on to Ibrahim’s future wife. However, I possess a written declaration from my grandfather stating that these earrings belong to me. I am captivated by their beauty and charm, and my desire to possess them extends to my unwavering attention and safekeeping, as they have been bestowed upon me.”
