Film director, Anurag Kashyap's daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap, is not much interested in making her career in Bollywood. In a recent appearance on Zoom’s By Invite Only, Aaliyah Kashyap spilt the beans on how she had come across her boyfriend on a dating app after going through a break-up but had decided to ghost him after an interaction. She said, "I was planning to not be in a relationship for the longest time. And I had broken up with my ex and a month after we broke up, I joined a dating app just for fun. Cause I was like the best way to move on is to talk to other boys. So I joined the dating app to talk to guys, just talking."
After getting matched with Shane Gregoire, Aaliyah Kashyap had chatted with him, and when Shane had suggested her to catch up on a video call, Aaliyah had agreed but had changed her mind later on. Stating the same, she said, "I was in India still and he was in the US. So I said, ‘Okay, fine, I will FaceTime you,’ and I messaged my two best friends Khushi and Muskaan that night and I was like, ‘I am going to ghost this guy'."

Going further in the interaction, Aaliyah opened up on how she did not really want to get involved in virtual dating, but it was her best friends, Muskaan and Boney Kapoor's daughter, Khushi Kapoor, who had convinced her to go for it. She explained, "I don’t want to FaceTime and all, I don’t want to do these virtual dates and stuff, I just wanted to talk to boys. And then, they convinced me to talk to him and then we ended up talking for four hours the first time."
On June 15, 2021, Aaliyah Kashyap had completed one year of togetherness with her beau, Shane Gregoire. She had taken to her IG handle to share a video with her. She had captioned it as "The best 365 days with my best friend that I wouldn’t change for the world. Thank you for loving me unconditionally & showing me a love like no other. I love you forever #1year."
