During her appearance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding in India, we stumbled upon an old video of Kim Kardashian, who said that Indian food was disgusting.
Kim Kardashian and her sister, Khloe Kardashian, are currently in India to attend Mukesh Ambani's youngest son, Anant Ambani's wedding with Radhika Merchant. They arrived in the country via private jet on July 11, 2024, and were welcomed grandly at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. Along with them, hairstylist, Chris Appleton and a team of producers have also arrived in India to document Kim and Khloe's presence at Anant's wedding reportedly for their Hulu reality series, The Kardashians.
Amidst all this, an old video from 2012, featuring Kim Kardashian from one of the episodes of their show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, surfaced on social media. In the video, Kim was heard discussing Indian food with her sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Initially, Kim asked her sisters, "Have you ever tried Indian food?" To this, Kendall immediately replied, "It's disgusting!" And nodding in affirmation with Kendall, Kim added, "Disgusting, right?" This video was recently shared on Reddit, and it once again began a series of conversations.

Soon after Kim's video was reposted on the Reddit platform, people started reacting to it hugely. While one social media user wrote, "And now she’s in India for a billionaire wedding", another netizen mentioned, "She is insane. Indian food is delicious!" One more comment read as, "I personally don't like Indian food, but I'd never say another culture's cuisine was disgusting on TV."

Back then, when the video was first posted, it also gained huge criticism from netizens on social media. Soon, Kim had issued an apology regarding the same matter. She clarified that she did not mean to offend anyone and that it was just her opinion. And not only Indian, there are many other cuisines in the world that she doesn't like. She said:
"In NO way was my comment intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste. There are a lot of foods I don’t like... I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture. My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. We all have our own opinions and tastes and I was simply expressing mine."

For Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding on July 12, 2024, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian opted for gorgeous Indian attires. Kim looked stunning in a red-hued sequinned mermaid-style lehenga with a bold, uniquely cut-out choli adorned with tassel detailing at the hemline. She completed her look with a double-layered diamond neckpiece, a sleek maang teeka and a hath phool. Meanwhile, Khloe wore a beige-toned sequinned lehenga with an off-the-shoulder full-sleeved choli. To accentuate her look, Khloe opted for a choker, a layered necklace and a maang teeka.
