To mark KK's 54th birth anniversary, his wife, Jyothy and daughter, Taamara penned heart-melting notes for him.
The song, Yaaron can never feel the same without KK. Even after three months after his demise, KK’s fans still find it difficult to fathom the loss of their favourite singer. Be it the high-pitched Tadap Tadap Ke or the foot-tapping number, Banda Ye Bindaas Hai, KK did complete justice to each one of his songs. However, his untimely demise has definitely left a huge vacuum in the music industry.
It was on the fateful night of May 31, 2022, when KK had bid adieu to the world after suffering a massive heart attack. He was performing at Sir Gurudas Mahavidyalaya fest at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata when he felt unwell. On his way to the hotel, the singer had collapsed, and as he was rushed to CMRI hospital, he was declared brought dead.

Jyothy posted an unseen picture with KK from their initial days and wrote, “Happy Birthday Sweetheart. Love you, miss you sooo much, it hurts.” On the other hand, Taamara shared a throwback picture with him, where the doting daughter was seen feeding him a piece of cake. Along with the picture, Taamara penned an emotional note, which can be read as:
“Happy birthday dad, gonna miss wishing you 500 times today. And miss waking up and eating cake with you, hope you’re eating as much cake as you want to up there. And don’t worry we’re not gonna let mom feel sad today, we’ll annoy her so she’s angry. Hope you can hear us sing tonight dad, it’s all for you.”
To mark KK’s 54th birth anniversary, his kids, Nakul and Taamara have organised a concert, ‘KK Forever’ for his fans. KK’s kids will be singing some of his soulful tracks at the concert. Talking about the same in an interview with News 18, Nakul shared:
“We thought that the best way to keep ourselves occupied and be focused and still give him a tribute was through a show. He loved being on stage and performing. The concert is the right thing to do. I can’t think of any other way to spend his first birth anniversary. To be honest, it’s a bitter-sweet feeling.”
