In a recent interview, 'Sacred Games' actress, Kubbra Sait opened up about getting an abortion after a one-night stand.
Kubbra Sait, who had made her Bollywood debut with the film, Ready in 2011, had got huge recognition after she had played the role of 'Kukoo' in the series, Sacred Games. Her role as a transgender was loved by the audience and she had represented Sacred Games at the Emmy Awards in 2011.
Kubbra had also featured in movies like Jodi Breakers, I Love NY, Sultan, Gully Boy, Jawaani Jaaneman and a few others. The stunning actress has recently debuted as an author with her book titled, Open Book: Not Quite A Memoir. In her book, Kubbra had penned her experiences with body image issues, being molested in her teenage by a family friend and many other aspects of her life. However, in one of the chapters, she had also shared details of terminating her unprecedented pregnancy.

In the book’s chapter titled, I Wasn’t Ready To Be A Mother, Kubbra shared details about getting an abortion after a one-night stand with a friend. The actress revealed that she had gone on a holiday to Andamans in 2013, and after a few drinks, had got intimate with a friend. However, when her pregnancy result had come positive, she had no other option rather get it terminated as she wasn’t ready for it.
In an interview with Times Now, Kubbra revealed what she had done after she had found out about her pregnancy. Speaking about the same, the gorgeous actress said:
“A week later, I decided to terminate the pregnancy. I wasn’t ready for it. It just wasn’t the way I had imagined my life or my journey. I think I was not ready for it. I was not ready because I was not ready for it as a human being. I don’t think I am still ready. I don’t understand this pressure around women to get married at 23 and have children by the time they are 30. It is like a set invisible rulebook. I knew I was not ready for it.”

In the same interview, she stated that after getting her abortion, she had felt like a terrible human being, however, she had no regret about it. In her words:
“Of course I felt like a terrible human being. A horrible human being because of that choice I had made. But my feeling bad did not come from how I felt but rather how other people would perceive it. My choice was about me. Sometimes helping yourself can be hard. But it is ok. You have to do it.”
