Pakistani actress, Kubra Khan recently broke gender stereotypes and didn't make 'Pehli Kheer' after her marriage with Gohar Rasheed.
Pakistani actress Kubra Khan, who was earlier Rabia Iqbal Khan, got married to her long-time love, Pakistani actor, Gohar Rasheed. They had married in Makkah, and many photos and videos from their private nikaah ceremony had created a buzz on social media. In Hindu marriages in India, the girl is expected to perform her Pehli Rasoi after marriage. While in Pakistan and in Muslim marriages, the lady is expected to make Pehli Kheer. Kubra broke the stereotype and made something interesting.
It was on February 12, 2025, that Kubra and Gohar had a beautiful nikaah ceremony in front of their loved one's at Makkah. The actress is enjoying the new chapter of her life as a married lady. During an interview with Fahad Mustafa, Kubra shared that she had made French Toast for Gohar during her Pehli Kheer ritual. Fahad, who looked disappointed, then told Kubra that the next time he meets her in his show, he would love to display what she made for him. In her words:
"Maine french toast pakaya."
Kubra is one of the top-paid Pakistani actresses of British-Pakistan origin. It was in 2014 when she made her debut with, Na Maloom Afrad. She stunned her fans when she announced to the world her marriage to Gohar. In one of their pre-wedding events called the Shendi (Shaadi and Mehendi) ceremony, the couple danced their lungs out on Salman Khan's Dabangg 2 song named, Kaise Bani. For the occasion, Kubra had stunned in a light green lehenga that had embroidery done in gold. She looked royal as she teamed her look with a maang teeka, choker neckpiece, and bangles. Gohar looked dapper in an off-white sherwani that had a shade of detailed embroidery and wore a same-hued stole to round up his look.
Kubra and Gohar had neither denied nor accepted being in a relationship. However, rumours did rounds when fans noticed dance practice videos of the duo surfacing together on social media, and they were also spotted at social events. According to News.com PK, when Kubra was asked at a social event if she was getting married in February 2025, the actress confessed to the same. Well their fans were stunned when Kubra looked like a fairy in a white burqa and a red dupatta over her head, and Gohar wore two pieces of white clothes for their nikaah ceremony. It looked as if fans manifested their wedding as the actress penned:
"12.02.25. Under the Kursi Of Allah.. 70 thousand Angels as Witness and Rehmat pouring down on us as rain. Qubool hai."
Kubra is best known for her work in films like Welcome 2 Karachi, Parwaaz Hai Junoon, London Nahi Jaunga to name a few. On the flip side, Gohar is known for his work in Seedlings, Rangreza, London Nahi Jaunga, The Legend of Maula Jatt to name some.
