Kumar Sanu's daughter, Shannon K revealed facing online trolls when she was a teenager and how she self-harmed herself.
Kumar Sanu's daughter, Shannon K talked about dealing with online trolls and going through depression. It is the first time, the singer, who is soon going to make her Bollywood debut, opened up about harming herself due to online trolls. For the unversed, Shannon K is the adopted daughter of Kumar Sanu and his second wife, Saloni Bhattacharya. The couple also have another daughter named Ana.
Kumar Sanu's daughter, Shannon K revealed that when she was a teenager, she had faced online trolling. She had just joined social media and was naive. People would comment anything about her, and it left a strong effect on her heart and mind, as she was just fourteen or fifteen years old. Shannon shared that she was in depression and tried to harm herself. Talking about the same, Shannon said:
"I was 14 or 15 years old and I was fresh on social media. So, I was fresh baked to all the trolls who commented anything on me. At that time, I was very naïve and vulnerable so I took it all very seriously. That was my biggest mistake. It got so much into my head that I went into depression and I self-harmed. It was a very hard and dark phase."

Shannon further shared that it was due to her family and friends that she was able to come out of that dark phase. She was quoted as saying:
"Fortunately, I had my family and friends to pull me out of that darkness. That was a really large lesson I learnt from there. Now, I want to be able to help all the others out there who are struggling. I want to tell them that there is light at the end of the tunnel because I have been through that as well."
Shannon kickstarted her singing journey in 2018 with her first pop album, A Long Time. Later, she made her big Hollywood debut as an actor with the film, The Big Feed, which was released in 2020. Now, she is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Vivke Sharma's film, Chal Zindagi.
