After their widely-reported, romantic Goa wedding almost a year back in February 2011, leading Bollywood beauty Lara Dutta and India’s tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi, have become proud parents of a healthy, baby girl.
The little bundle of joy was confirmed by a delighted Mahesh Bhupathi via hits Tweet, where he confirmed the baby to be a girl. Bhupathi had even indicated his inclination for a daughter while Lara had repeatedly quoted that having a healthy baby was her only priority.
The former Miss Universe, Lara had recently hosted a baby shower that was attended by leading names from the Hindi movie industry and famous sports persons. Lara had been keeping herself busy, ensuring that the house was baby-ready. She had spoken about the anticipation that she, Mahesh and her parents had been experiencing, knowing that the due date was expected in January 2012.
Lara had confirmed that during her baby-shower, an overwhelming number of predictions had suggested of her being blessed with a baby boy. The accuracy of predictions notwithstanding, the couple seems happy with their first child and we wish their happy little family, happy and peaceful times ahead!
