In a recent interaction with Hauterrfly, Lara Dutta recalled a scary incident she had faced, when an unknown person amidst a huge crowd tried to harass her. The diva walked down the memory lane and recalled that she was in Chandni Chowk, New Delhi, for the music launch of her film, Andaaz. She was also joined by her co-stars, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. The actress remembered wearing a saree for the day, and a huge crowd had gathered to see the celebrities. However, a particular man tried to misbehave with Lara, and ended up pinching her on the waist sneakily. Adding how it was her intuition that helped her to identify the culprit, Lara said:
“During my first film, Andaaz, Priyanka, Akshay and me, all three of us went to Delhi. I think it was somewhere in Chandni Chowk, there used to be a place called Rhythm House which was the venue for our music release. It was my first film, it was my first time as an actress and I was wearing a saree that day. Someone in the crowd sneaked in their hand and pinched me on my waist. I almost had some intuition, maybe this was military training, that you can sense that something is wrong. The moment that hand came in, I held that hand and I pulled out that guy from the crowd.”

The diva shared how many people try to age shame her, using derogatory terms like ‘buddhi’ and ‘moti’ for her. Sassily, Lara remarked that people will always have an opinion of their own, no matter what. However, at the end, it doesn’t really impact her life or decisions. Expressing more, she said:
“I think I blessed. I don't deal with a lot of trolls or nasty comments or things like that. I mean, Of course, people will have...it's their right to have an opinion you know, and they will say something to you. A lot of people say 'arrey buddhi ho gayi', 'arrey moti ho gayi'. Is it really going to make a difference in my life? It doesn't. I also know that there are anonymous people behind handles. I don't know what someone like that is going through in their life. So, I can't be judgemental about someone else either. It's fine."
