The melody queen of Bollywood, Lata Mangeshkar passes away at the age of 92. She was diagnosed with the mild symptoms of COVID-19 in Janauary. Read on to know more!
Bollywood singer, Lata Mangeshkar left for the heavenly abode in the morning of February 6, 2022. The singer, who was known as the 'queen of melody' and 'nightingale of India' left a beautiful singing journey behind her. She was tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms in January. However, in the past few days, her health deteriorated and she was admitted to the ICU.
On February 5, 2022, Lata Mangeshkar's sister, Asha Bhosle gave an update about her health. The singer had revealed that Lata Mangeshkar is recovering well, and she is stable at the moment. She had said:
"Lata Mangeshkar didi is in Breach Candy Hospital, in the ICU. She continues to be under aggressive therapy and is tolerating the procedures well at this moment."

The singer, Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at 8:12 am. The mortal remains of the legendary singer will be taken to Shivaji Park where they will be kept for public homage. The chief executive officer at Breach Candy Hospital shared that the singer was admitted as a COVID-19 patient and she was treated for the same and had recovered. However, due to the post COVID complications, she had passed away.
Lata Mangeshkar was born in Indore and has been the voice for many screen legends. She had started her singing journey at the age of thirteen in 1942. She had sung over 30,000 songs in her seven-decade long career. She was also a receipt holder of several awards including, Padma Bhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke and many more.
