Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's daughter, Isha Ambani exchanged marital vows to Anand Piramal following traditional Hindu rituals on December 12, 2018. And Isha’s kanyadaan ritual was narrated by Mr Amitabh Bachchan wherein he explained the customs to the guests present at the wedding through his speech. Amitabh Bachchan in his powerful voice also explained how Mukesh Ambani as a father would be feeling. It was surely an emotional moment for the bride and her parents. Here are the videos:
Now we have an exclusive video from Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding, in which the living legend Lata Mangeshkar ji had showered her blessings for the newly-weds by recording a beautiful rendition of the Gayatri Mantra. The recording was played during the wedding customs of Isha and Anand which took place as per Gujarati and Hindu Vedic rituals. Check out the video: Sharing the details about the same, a source revealed to us, “In a lovely gesture of love and affection for Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, living legend Lata Mangeshkar ji showered her blessings by recording a beautiful rendition of the Gayatri Mantra, a Ganesh stuti and a special message for the newlyweds in her own voice. The recording was played during the wedding rituals of the couple on 12th December and added to the grace of the occasion. The marriage was conducted as per the Gujarati traditions and the Hindu Vedic Rituals.” The source further shared, “Lataji has recorded a rendition in her own voice after several years, making this Hindu Vedic invocation to the gods even more special. Before playing the recording, legendary thespian Shri Amitabh Bachchan gave a small introduction and explained the significance of the rendition by Lataji to the attending guests.” One of the most fun rituals in a wedding ceremony is the jaimala ceremony. The inquisitiveness about who would put the garland on whom first, with their cousins and relatives ensuring that their side of the soon-to-be-wed wins, is the most fun part! Isha and Anand’s jaimala ceremony too had ‘team bride’ and ‘team groom’ ensuring that they win. Everyone was all smiles when both Isha and Anand were trying to put the garland around one another, but ultimately, it was the groom who went away with ‘his trophy’ (we bet you know what we mean!). Check out a video of the same: For the pre-wedding festivities, apart from the mehendi and sangeet functions, Ambanis and Piramals hosted an ‘Anna Seva’ from December 07-10, 2018, wherein they had been feeding 5100 people, three times a day. They had also oragnised Swadesh Bazaar (an initiative of the Reliance Foundation), which had showcased “108 traditional Indian Crafts and art forms from all different regions of the country for the national and international guests”, thus keeping Indian art crafts alive. The Foundation aims to broaden and deepen its support to the goals of Swadesh Bazaar on a bigger and more sustainable scale in future.” And it lastly stated, “From the rich Kanjeevaram, exclusive Patola, intricate Chikankari to fine Bandhani, exhibits cover over 30 types of textiles and weaves. Depicting folktales and local legends, artists will showcase ancient painting forms like Gond, Madhubani, Phad, Warli and Thangka. Weavers, potters and sculptures from all around the country will make this a mega-celebration of art and culture. This unique exhibit has not just provided livelihoods to thousands of such artisans, but also giving an opportunity to showcase their rare works from every nook and corner of India, for people’s interest, appreciation and support.” (Also Read: Unseen Picture Of Nita Ambani And Isha Ambani From Her Wedding, Twinning In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla) Didn’t your eyes too, get wet, while watching Isha Ambani’s kanyadaan video?
