Dhak Dhak Karne Laga…Ho Mora Jiyara Darne Laga, the very moment someone plays this song at a house party, we all start imitating Madhuri Dixit and her then hero in the film, Anil Kapoor! Such is the magic of this song. Madhuri is one of the few actresses, who is known to make many celebrities, go crazy over her smile, charisma and beauty. When people were busy wondering who would be ‘her man’, Dr Sriram Nene married Bollywood’s one of the most stunning beauties, who is now a mother to two teenage sons, Arin and Rayaan (hard to believe, we know!). After having starred in a zillion Bollywood films, Madhuri got married to a California based doctor, Sriram Nene, which was an arranged marriage. On October 17, 1999, Madhuri and Dr Nene tied the nuptial bond and three years later (in 2003), she embraced motherhood for the first time, when she gave birth to her first boy, Arin and two years later, (in 2005), she became a mother to another boy, Raayan. On January 14, 2018, the Dil actress shared a throwback picture with her munchkins and shared, “Just saw this old picture while scrolling through my phone gallery and it brought a smile on my face! Can't put in words how much I love celebrating festivals with my kids & family. Wishing you all a #HappyMakarSankranti. Have a great time with your loved ones and may you all stay blessed, forever!”
Aren’t they adorable? In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Madhuri Dixit got all candid about motherhood, work and Sridevi. Madhuri Dixit, hubby, Sriram Nene and her two teenage sons, Arin and Raayan were recently on a vacation to Kodaikanal. The fun part was, the kids had dragged their parents to try out surfing. Speaking about the same, Madhuri shared, “It was so easy for the kids, but for us (husband Sriram Nene and her) it was difficult just keeping our balance on the surf board.”
Madhuri is equally famous for her acting as much as she is for her dancing skills. Regularly known for conducting dance lessons on her app, Dance with Madhuri, the portal asked her if she gives dance lessons to her sons as well. To which, the doting mommy replied, “Rayaan is shy and introverted but Arin who is more outgoing, takes part in school dramas, plays the drum, the tabla and the piano and loves to dance. He wanted to learn hip-hop from me the other day and I asked him if it was to impress the girls. He was like, ‘Awww mom!’”
How cute, aren't they? Madhuri will soon be seen in Indra Kumar’s soon-to-release, Total Dhamaal and her song, Paisa Yeh Paisa has already become a super hit! Speaking about her kid’s reaction to the songs, Madhuri shared, “They are so informed these days, they discuss scenes, shot-taking and special effects.” She also shared that her sons would be taken aback when people would exclaim to them, “’Oh, your mom is Madhuri Dixit!’ For them I’ve always been just mom. But recently they saw my song from Pukar, “Kay Sera Sera”, and they were like, ‘Hey this is so cool!’ So, now, I’m a cool mom!” (Must Read: Salman Khan Was Offered Aishwarya Rai's Brother Role During Their Dating Days, Here's How He Reacted)
Do you know, Sridevi was the original choice for soon-to-release Kalank? But now, Madhuri Dixit will be taking up her role due to Sridevi's unfortunate demise. Opening up about the same and recalling their last meet, the Beta actress was quoted as saying, “We met for the last time at Manish’s (designer Manish Malhotra) birthday party, she was with her daughters (Janhvi and and Khushi) and so happy.” She also added, “That’s why it is important to live each day to the fullest, hold your family and kids close, because you don’t know what can happen tomorrow. Sridevi left behind a void, there’s this huge empty space.”
In a last year's interview with SpotboyE, Madhuri shared if she is on the stricter parents side, “My mom has given me an advice: Don't hold the sand too tight in your palm. So while I am not saying that I am a disciplinarian in certain aspects, I do let go quite a few things. Plus, nobody comes with a manual. Both children are so different from each other. So at times, it depends on the situation.”
In a 2013 interview with Filmfare, Madhuri’s husband, Dr Nene spoke about his marital life with the actress and shared, “Marriage changes all of us to some degree, no matter what people say. Some of the changes are common to all marriages like your schedules and time with family, etc. It’s great to have a life partner you can depend on. At the same time, you now have to look out for the family unit. In our case, the issue of her being a celebrity makes some things difficult or impossible. This is more the case in India than in the US. However, it hasn’t really changed my identity or personality.” (Also Read: When Salman Khan Defended Katrina Kaif's Leaked Bikini Pics During Her Holiday With Ranbir Kapoor)
