Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and her hubby, Anand Ahuja embraced parenthood for the first time with the arrival of their son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. It was on August 20, 2022, when Sonam and Anand had delighted the world with their good news as they welcomed a baby boy into their lives. Sharing a picture note on their respective IG handles, the newbie parents had expressed their excitement about their son's arrival.

On September 20, 2022, Maheep Kapoor took to her IG stories and gave her fans a glimpse of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja's baby boy, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja's room. The doting nani shared a picture of a closed room, which showed a wooden door with a cutesy monkey-figured hanging. It also had two large mirrors on both sides. Sharing the picture, Maheep wrote:
"Vayu Kapoor Ahuja Room #socute."
Sonam Kapoor is the newbie mommy in Tinseltown, and she's loving this chapter of her life. On September 7, 2022, taking to her IG handle, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had made a hilarious revelation of being a mommy. The new mom had shared a picture note on her IG stories and mentioned that she finds baby burps cute. Her cutesy post made everyone go aww, leaving her fans in a meltdown. Her note could be read as:
"Only burps that are cute are baby burps."

On September 20, 2022, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja's son had turned one-month-old, and to mark his special day, the doting parents had shared the first-ever picture with him. The priceless picture showed the entire family twinning in designer, Anamika Khanna's yellow-coloured outfits. Sharing the picture, Sonam had also revealed her baby boy's name and shared that they have named him 'Vayu'. Mentioning that known as the deity of breath, Vayu is one of the paanch tatvas, the newbie mommy had penned:
"In the spirit of the force that has breathed new meaning into our lives. In the spirit of Hanuman and Bheem who embody immense courage and strength. In the spirit of all that is sacred, life-giving and eternally ours, we seek blessings for our son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. In Hindu scriptures Vayu is one of the paanch tatvas. He is the deity of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav and He is the incredibly powerful lord of wind. Thank you for your continued wishes and blessings for Vayu and his family."
