Mahesh Babu penned a heartmelting wish for his actor-father, Krishna on his 78th birthday. Namrata Shirodkar shared a monochrome picture to wish him.
He is the heartthrob of Tollywood and she had ruled Bollywood in the 90s, but when they had come together, it was the beginning of a fairy tale love story. Yes, we are talking about the gorgeous Namrata Shirodkar and the handsome, Mahesh Babu, who are the epitome of couple goals. In 2000, Namrata had found her prince charming when she had met Mahesh while shooting for their Telugu film, Vamsi. After dating for some time, the duo had gotten married in 2005. Together, they have weaved a happy place with their kids, Gautam and Sitara.

Namrata Shirodkar often treats us with glimpses of her family. While we have seen several pictures of Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu’s wedding, we still cannot get over how mesmerising they had looked as bride and groom. In November 2020, Namrata had posted an unseen picture from her wedding with her parents and in-laws in the frame. She had captioned it as “Picture-perfect 'Then And Now' moment! Just like Mahesh, his father, Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna, famously known as Krishna is one of the most talented actor, director and producer of Tollywood. In a film career spanning five decades, Krishna had starred in more than 350 films. On May 31, 2021, Krishna turned 78 and his son, Mahesh Babu penned a heartmelting birthday wish for him. Mahesh took to his IG handle and shared a picture with his ‘nana’ and wrote, “Happy birthday Nanna… Thank you for always showing me the best way forward... Love you more than you'll ever know” followed by heart emoticons.
On the other hand, Krishna’s daughter-in-law, Namrata Shirodkar shared an unseen monochrome picture of him and penned a heartmelting birthday wish. She wrote, “To one of my most special people... today is your special day and you need to be reminded again how special you are and how much you are loved!! Wishing you the happiest birthday ever Mammaya garu. Many blessings now and always. We love you.”
Last year on Krishna’s 77th birthday, Namrata had shared a candid picture with him and had written the warmest birthday wish for her superstar father-in-law. Namrata’s wish could be read as “A superstar, an icon, a legend an inspiration to millions... he’s all of this to everyone but to me he is a father in law who is kind and loving... who dotes on me and my family... someone who stands tall when I need advice or a shoulder to lean on... He’s always there for me and I’m so grateful to him for always being there!! He replaced my father so beautifully and made me so at home in his family and his world... they make very few like him. Happy birthday, mamayya garu. I’m truly blessed to have u in my life. Love you so so much... stay blessed always.”

In an interview with National Herald India, Namrata Shirodkar had recalled how she had met her husband, Mahesh Babu and how their respective parents were sceptical about their relationship. Namrata had said, “Mahesh and I met on the sets of a film called Vamsi. It’s the only film that I did with him and it’s the worst film in both our careers. But we will be ever grateful to Vamsi. That’s where we met. I immediately knew this was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Of course, Mahesh’s family was sceptical of me. They had nothing against me. But they knew nothing about me. Or my life as an actress in Mumbai. Come to think of it, even my parents were sceptical of Mahesh.”
