Kangana Ranaut had criticised Alia Bhatt's acting in 'Gully Boy', and Rangoli Chandel had alleged Mahesh Bhatt of throwing slippers at Kangana. Mahesh Bhatt has now reacted to the same. Deets inside!
If there is one person who will not take 'no' for an answer and can be termed as 'the most savage celebrity in Bollywood', it has to be Kangana Ranaut. Everybody would agree to that, right? Time and again, she has proven to be outspoken about issues like nepotism and harassment in the Hindi film industry. Be it her candid views on nepotism which she shared on national television on Koffee with Karan or her initial struggling days in Mumbai when she had been allegedly tortured by Aditya Pancholi, Kangana Ranaut paints it all true! Just like Kangana Ranaut, even her sister, Rangoli Chandel is outspoken as well. This sister-duo recently created a stir in Bollywood when they attacked the Bhatt family. Kangana called Alia Bhatt's acting in Gully Boy 'mediocre', and her sister, Rangoli called Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan 'NRIs' who don't deserve to carry the Indian passport! With mixed reactions and trolling on social media, the Bhatt-Ranaut family feud has made it to the headlines.
Alia Bhatt's father, Mahesh Bhatt was recently present at the premiere of his wife, Soni Razdan's movie, Yours Truly. Addressing the reporters present at the same, and commenting on the issue, Mahesh Bhatt said that Kangana Ranaut is a 'bachchi' (a child). The 70-year-old producer was quoted as saying, "She (Kangana Ranaut) is a ‘bachchi’, started her journey with us. Just because her relative (Rangoli) is attacking me, I won’t comment. Our upbringing and culture teach us that we should not raise a finger on our children. So saying anything against our children won’t be possible. My upbringing stops me to do so. Till I die, I will never ever say anything against our child because it is against my upbringing, it is against my nature."
Well, we really applaud for the candid and strong moral values that Mahesh Bhatt possesses! In fact, even Alia Bhatt had recently commented on Kangana Ranaut's statements on former's acting in Gully Boy. Alia attended the Critics Choice Film Awards 2019 on April 21, 2019, and replied to Kangana-Rangoli’s statements. The Kalank actress had said, “Dekhiye, agar main aisi hu then my family is 10 times more mature and stronger than I am. Mujhe isme padna hi nahi hai, you know. I just want to be happy, positive, work hard, be a better version of myself every day. Log kya kahe, kya na kahe I should not pay attention to it. Everybody has a right to say what they want to say. Main bas chup rahugi, that’s my stand.” (Suggested Read: Shahid And Mira's Baby Boy, Zain Kapoor Is The Most Dapper Celeb Baby, And This Video Is A Proof)
Kangana Ranaut had earlier taken potshots at Alia Bhatt, criticising her acting in Gully Boy. The Manikarnika actress had said, “I am embarrassed...What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ....same snappy muh phat girl... Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media have taken filmy kids love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised.”
Kangana Ranaut's sister, Rangoli Chandel had recently turned her 'savage mode' on and had tweeted about Alia Bhatt and her mother Soni Razdan’s British citizenship, calling them non-Indians. Rangoli had taken to Twitter and written, “These non-Indians who are living off this land, using and abusing its people and its resources, lying about intolerance and spreading hatred, time to think about their agenda and not to get carried away with their provocations.” In another series of tweets, Rangoli had claimed that Mahesh Bhatt once threw a chappal (slipper) at Kangana at the screening of her film Woh Lamhe. She had tweeted, “...later when she went for Woh Lamhe preview to a theatre he threw chappal on her, he didn’t allow her to see her own film, she cried whole night .... and she was just 19 years old.”
This social media banter took another turn when Soni Razdan decided to reply to Rangoli Chandel's tweets. The Page 3 actress replied to Rangoli by tweeting, “Mahesh Bhatt is the man who has given her a break … she goes on to attack his wife and daughter. Daughter over and over again. What is left to be said then about abusing and hatred I wonder? Apart from the character of course. Agenda? What’s hers?”
And then pat came Rangoli Chandel's reply to Sni Razdan which could be read as, “Dear Soni ji, Mahesh Bhatt never gave her a break, Anurag Basu did, Mahesh Bhatt ji works as a creative director in his brothers production house.... please note that he doesn’t own that production house, after Woh Lamhe when Kangana refused to do a film written by him called ‘Dhokha where he wanted her to play a suicide bomber he got so upset that he not only shouted at her in his office..... but later when she went for Woh Lamhe preview to a theatre he threw chappal on her, he didn’t allow her to see her own film, she cried whole night .... and she was just 19years old . @Soni_Razdan.” (Don't Miss: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Targeted By Meanest Trolls For Walking Hand-In-Hand With Aaradhya Bachchan)
