Mahira Khan slammed trolls for claiming that she uses her 'Raees' co-star, and the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan's name.
Mahira Khan is one of the most talented Pakistani actresses, whose gorgeousness often leaves her fans melting over and over again. The gorgeous actress made her Bollywood debut with the movie, Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and won hearts. Well, the actress is often trolled as she was blamed for using Shah Rukh Khan's name to gain popularity. And recently, she hit back at those who trolled her for the same.
In a conversation at the Aalami Urdu Conference 2024, Mahira Khan was asked if she gets irked when she constantly gets asked about her co-star, and the Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. The actress was asked if it's fine, as in most of her interviews, she gets questions related to her work with Shah Rukh. To this, Mahira shared that she will never get enough of SRK, and thus, if someone asks her about the actor, she replies. The actress said that when she shares anecdotes about SRK, then too, people feel that she's just talking about the actor, while she never talks about him all by herself. In Mahira's words:
"Well, I will never have enough of Shah Rukh. Mujhse koi puchta hai toh main uska jawab deti hun. Phir logon ko lagta hai ke main unke baare mein baat kar rahi hun. Main apne aap kabhi nahi baat karti unke baare mein."
In the same interview, the host then asked the actress about her take on being trolled by several social media users, who claim that the actress uses Shah Rukh's name. The actress replied that if that's the case, then people should just stop asking her about Shah Rukh. Calling him 'bachpan ka pyaar', Mahira Khan said:
"Mujhe yeh hota hai ke aap mujhse puchiye hi nahi unke baare mein phir."
While talking with Hassan Chaudhury, Mahira Khan revealed how she bagged the role in the movie, Raees. The actress said that her Bollywood debut was due to the success of her Pakistani drama, Humsafar. The drama was released in India four years after being released in Pakistan, and at that time, she had a Visa to India. Mahira was called up for promotions here, and that's when she was offered the role in the movie alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Mahira further added that the makers of Raees liked her work in Humsafar, and it was SRK's MIL, Savita Chhibber, who pitched her name for the movie. Mahira remarked that many people had to audition for a role in Raees, but she felt to be privileged as she got her hands on the script beforehand.
Mahira Khan was married to Ali Askari earlier in 2007, and in 2009, they became parents. Moreover, in 2016, Mahira and Ali decided to part ways. Mahira decided to give love another chance, and last year, she tied the knot to the love of her life, Salim Karim. The wedding was all things surreal, and the photos from the same simply left us in awe. Soon after their wedding, reports were rife that Mahira was pregnant for the second time. Well, the actress later debunked all such claims.
