Mahira Khan first time talked about her photograph getting leaked with Ranbir Kapoor, wherein she was seen smoking with him in a little white dress.
Mahira Khan is the most-loved Pakistani actress, her fan following in India is no less. Mahira's professional life has been super inspiring, but she hit a rough patch when things fell in her career and personal life. Recently, Mahira opened up about her struggle as a divorced single mother and the challenges she has been through after India banner Pakistani actors working in Hindi cinema. She also talked about her viral photos of her smoking with Ranbir Kapoor.
In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Mahira Khan revealed how her journey has been crazy. She went through a crazy journey having a baby. She also talked about her smoking pictures with Ranbir Kapoor getting leaked and getting banned in another country. Mahira shared that those were the toughest days, but she decided not to talk about it. Mahira said:
"It’s been a crazy ride. My audience has travelled this journey with me. The divorce, having a baby and my baby being along in this journey with me, being single for so long, those photos coming out, a ban somewhere else in another country… it has just been insane. Those were tough times and amazing times but there also have been moments that have been tougher but I have chosen not to share them."
Mahira Khan also talked about her photos with Ranbir Kapoor circulating all over the internet. She thought her career might be over after it. For Mahira, it came as a big emotional blow. Mahira thought that after achieving so much in Pakistan, everything has ended. Reflecting on the days tough days, Mahira said:
"When the photos came out there was an article called ‘The Little White Dress’ that was published in BBC and I failed to see the brilliance of that article at that time. In fact, I think I may have. I remember reading it and thinking, ‘Is my career over?’ In that article, it was written that ‘here is a woman who has achieved this kind of success that no one in Pakistan has achieved, all the endorsements and all that, and now it is all gone. What is going to happen to her?"
Mahira further added that time was super difficult, and she wouldn't get out of bed and kept crying daily. It affected her personal and professional life. Mahira was quoted as saying:
"I read it and I was like ‘Damn.’ But I told myself, ‘Are you mad? This is going to end,’ maybe it was the 14-year-old Mahira that told me. But I won’t lie that that time was very tough. I wouldn’t get out of the bed, I was crying daily, it affected my professional and personal life. Lots happened on my personal side."
