Step 1- Select the platform

There are many platforms present online that will allow you to set up your personal blog for free. They will even link the blog to your email id and you get notifications of emails and comments that have been posted. You can use WEEBLY, WETPAINT, WORDPAD, LIVEJOURNAL, BLOGGER etc to set up your blog. The process at all these platforms is simple and requires a simple registration process.

Step 3- Select your guests

You need to send an appropriate email to all the guests that you want to keep updated with your wedding arrangements. Another option is to notify your guests by mobile SMS and by the invitation to the blog URL so that they know that they can be updated there. Upload your wedding registry at the same blog and make sure that you update it. Ask guests to notify you when items are bought by them. They can also call each other up and share the items present on the wedding registry.

You might have to link up to photo sharing sites like FLICKR and SHUTTERBUG so that you can keep relatives updated about your wedding arrangements. With such sites, guests can also download and print copies for themselves if required.

Step 5- Keep it interesting

You have to be able to keep the blog updated regularly. That means writing and more writing. Put up the story of how you met your man, how you are setting up your wedding, the menu arrangements, fun things that you have planned, engagement arrangements, bridal shower arrangements, and even post information on your honeymoon. Please be careful that you do not post too many personal details online. As another fun item, you can also post wedding newsletters to your friends and family to keep them updated.
