Malaika Arora and her son, Arhaan Khan joined in for a new project, and it has nothing to do with lights-camera-and action but with food.
Malaika Arora is a famous actress in the Hindi film industry whose fitness regimen has been the talk of the town in terms of inspiration. Over the years, Malaika has starred in several films, including Kaante, EMI, Pyar Ke Geet, Athidhi, and Housefull, among so many others. Moreover, with her sizzling dance moves, Malaika won her fans over and over again. The actress' personal life has also grabbed the public attention. She was married to Arbaaz Khan, with whom she has a son, Arhaan. Well, the couple has parted ways after 19 years of their marital bliss. Recently, Malaika joined hands with her son, Arhaan, on a new project, and it's not about films, but food.
Malaika Arora has started a new restaurant in Bandra along with her son, Arhaan Khan, and it's the first project of the mom-and-son duo. The name of the restaurant is Scarlett House, and it's in the Pali Village’s bylanes. Apart from Arhaan, Malaika is joined by her friend, Malaya Nagpal, and restaurateur Dhaval Udeshi on this project. As per the report in Vogue, the co-founders of Scarlett House are Gigi and Lyla.
Talking about her first project with her son, Arhaan, which has nothing to do with lights-camera-action, Malaika told Vogue that she and her son love food and entertaining people. The actress further mentioned that she and Arhaan both travelled the world and returned with several recipes that they would re-create at home, which is enough to talk about the love for food that the mom-son duo has. Stating that starting a restaurant was the most organic thing to do, Malaika said:
"We both love food and we love entertaining people. We’ve travelled the world together and often return with recipes we’d want to recreate at home. So, starting a restaurant felt like the most organic thing to do."
Malaika and Arhaan's restaurant, Scarlett House, is made inside of a 90-year-old Portuguese bungalow in the hue, scarlet, which only makes the name apt for the restaurant. Made in a 2,500 sqft area, the restaurant features shuttered windows, gramophones, Victorian chairs, brown marbles, and vintage hanging lamps, giving all kinds of aesthetic vibes. The menu is diverse, and it's filled with bars, including a water bar and, obviously, health platters. Arhaan Khan revealed to Vogue:
"There’s a bar for every time of the day. There’s one perfect for pre-workouts, and there’s one for before you sleep.”
After parting ways from Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora found solace in the arms of Arjun Kapoor. Well, the actress broke up with her beau with a few months ago. The couple once used to paint the town red with their mushy romance, and the news of their breakup sent shockwaves among their fans. While the duo first didn't react to the buzz about the breakup, Arjun most recently confirmed the same.
