Malaika Arora shared her views on women's financial independence and how women should have their own identity after marriage.

Hailed among the hottest actresses in Bollywood, Malaika always manages to make everyone stop and stare at her whenever she makes a public appearance. Gone are the days when women used to depend on the family's men for financial security. Now, girls from the early days of their lives are taught about the significance of earning a livelihood and how they should chase their dreams and always be independent. Malaika Arora emphasises the same in her recent appearance on Curly Tales. In Malla's words:
"Independent rakho baba. Jo tera hai voh tera hai, jo mera hai voh mera hai."
Malaika emphasised that even after marriage, it is essential that women hold their ground when it comes to finances. It helps them to navigate life and never be at the receiving end of someone's mercy. She added that one could definitely have joint ventures and partnerships, but you must also have an identity of your own. She thanked her mom for inculcating these values in her.
"I feel it’s very important to have your own identity. I think the least you can do is hang on to your own bank account."

In a recent heartfelt conversation with Curly Tales, Malaika shared the story of her early career. She spoke about the courage that led her to start working at a young age, striving for independence despite the challenges.
In the latest episode of Curly Tales, Malaika reflected on the time her mother, Joyce Polycarp, used to get calls from her college. She revealed that her mother was called because of her short attendance. However, Malaika also shared that her mother was always supportive of her decisions and never discouraged her from pursuing her dreams. During the conversation, Malaika shared that she had finished two years at Jai Hind College when she started her modelling career. However, it became challenging to balance when her mother was summoned to the college for her attendance. Malaika revealed:
"I did actually finish my two years of college at Jai Hind. Then I started modelling. It was getting very difficult because meri mummy ko college se call aane lag gaye because of my poor college attendance that my attendance is not up to the mark."
