Malaika Arora suffered the biggest loss of her life so far in the wee hours of September 11, 2024. The actress was in Pune for an event when she was informed about her father, Anil Arora's unfortunate demise. According to a report in India Today, Mumbai police stated that Malaika's father committed suicide. The actress left for Mumbai immediately to be by her family's side after her father's heartbreaking demise.

As per the reports, Anil Arora jumped from the terrace of his Bandra residence. The terrace is reportedly the building's sixth floor, and he suffered life-threatening injuries to his head and other body parts. As of now, it is not confirmed by the investigative authorities whether Malaika's father died on the spot or not. According to some reports, an ambulance was stationed outside the building as soon as people discovered the mishap.

However, it is not known whether the doctors tried saving Anil Arora or he was already dead before their arrival. The heartbreaking news of Anil Arora's death by suicide has shocked the entire film industry. Malaika's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan wasted no time reaching Anil Arora's residence to support his family in this tragic time. While on one side, celebrities have started arriving at Anil's Bandra residence, on the other side, Mumbai police is investigating every possible angle behind his death by suicide.

As per the latest reports, the suicide incident took place around nine in the morning, and so far, no suicide note has been discovered by the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the probe is underway to confirm there's no foul play in this tragic incident. When talking about Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora's background, not much is known about him as he always stayed away from the media spotlight. However, as per multiple reports, Anil Arora worked in the Indian Merchant Navy for many years. Talking about his birthplace, he was reportedly born in a small village in Punjab named Fazilka.

When Malaika was just 11 years old, Anil and Joyce got divorced after facing a series of irreconcilable issues in their marriage.

Once, in an old interview with Grazia India, Malaika Arora opened up about her parents, Anil Arora and Joyce Polycarp's divorce when she was just 11. The actress admitted that it was a challenging phase for her as a kid to see her parents parting ways with each other. However, she added that she used those experiences in order to become an extremely independent person. Well, despite their divorce, Anil and Joyce always remained in touch and were seen alongside their daughters, Malaika and Amrita, during their family get-togethers.
