There have been rumours that Malaika Arora is dating Kumar Sangakkara as she was spotted with him at Rajashtan Royals' recent match.
Malaika Arora often makes headlines for her work and her relationship buzz. A while ago, everyone was left in shock when Malaika Arora broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor. Later, reports claimed that Malaika was dating a mystery man, and people would often try to find the man in her vacation pictures. Now, a photo of Malaika at the recent Rajasthan Royals Vs Chennai Super Kings match from Guwahati made rounds. However, she was spotted with a former Sri Lankan cricketer, which left people wondering if they were dating.
For the unversed, murmurs of Malaika dating Kumar Sangakkara made rounds after she was seen sitting in the stadium and having a good time at Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Kumar Sangakkara is currently working as Rajashtan Royals' director of cricket and earlier worked as the head coach.
Soon, Malaika's picture from the match went viral, as she was seen donning a Royals jersey. It soon left netizens wondering if she was in a relationship with Kumar Sangakkara. However, it seems like they are just mere speculations, and it has no truth to it. A source close to Malaika, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, called the buzz baseless and highlighted the fact that she was just sitting with him, and it doesn't mean she is dating him. The source said:
"Just because two people are sitting next to each other doesn't mean they are dating. People should stop concocting such baseless stories."
In 2024, Arjun Kapoor was spotted at a Diwali celebration event with the team of Singham Returns. The film had a huge star cast, and most of them were present at the event. In a clip that went viral, someone asked him, 'Malaika kaisi hai.' However, it wasn't clear, so Arjun confirmed in the reply that he was single. He was quoted as saying:
"Nahi, abhi single hoon, relax."

Malaika always tried to keep her personal matters away from the media glares, but Arjun's comment dragged her into the media limelight. Despite maintaining a stoic silence, Malaika expressed her hurt by clearly stating that she didn't choose a public platform to talk about her personal life in an interview with ETimes. Malaika also added that whatever Arjun had said was his prerogative. She was quoted as saying:
"I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative."
In an interview with Raj Shamani, Arjun Kapoor was questioned about his presence at Malaika's father's demise and his taking care of her and her family after the separation. Arjun added that it was his instinct and impulse decision. If he had formed an emotional bond with the person, he would show up.
On the work front, Malaika is judging Hip Hop India Season 2 with Remo D'Souza.
