Bollywood actress, Malaika Arora had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 7, 2020. Not only her but her beau, Arjun Kapoor was also tested positive for COVID-19. Malaika had issued a statement regarding the same on her IG handle on September 7, 2020. In her statement, she had informed her fans of her diagnosis and had assured them that she is healthy and home-quarantined on the suggestion of doctors. Check out her statement below:
Now in an interview with Pinkvilla, Malaika Arora talked about home quarantining, and how was she spending her time. Malaika revealed that she took to reading while in isolation and she read classics like Gone with the Wind and others. As Malaika completed her 14-day isolation period, when asked what the most challenging thing of those days was, she said, “The biggest challenge was not being able to meet my son. We spoke to each other from our balconies.”
Although Malaika Arora has completed her 14-day quarantine period, she is yet to undergo a second test to determine if she has tested negative for COVID-19. Malaika has shared an advice for her fans for these challenging times. She said that everyone should exercise regularly, eat healthily and drink immunity drinks, to fight the virus.
Some days ago, on September 14, 2020, Malaika Arora had penned a beautiful note on her IG handle as she was missing her son, Arhaan and her pooch. She had shared a picture of her son, Arhaan, along with her pooch from her self-isolation space and had talked about how love obeys no boundaries and that she'll have to wait a few more days to hug her 'babies'. Her note could be read as "Love knows no boundaries". With our social distancing and self quarantine in place, we still find a way to check on eachother, see eachother and talk. While my heart breaks to not be able to hug my two babies for another few days, just looking at their sweet faces gives me so much courage and energy to power through.... #thistooshallpass." FYI, Malaika Arora had returned to the sets of India’s Best Dancer a few days back. And sometime around then, 7-8 members of the dance reality show had tested positive after which the shoot was suspended. Indian Film and Television Director’s Association CEO, Suresh Amin had spoken about the number of cases on the dance reality show and had stated, “I don’t know the exact number, but yes, there have been cases of COVID-19 on India’s Best Dancer. Everyone has been taking every possible precaution but I guess the pandemic is so severe that we have to deal with it come what may."
On the other hand, Malaika Arora's Arjun Kapoor had also released a statement, informing his fans about his diagnosis and well-being. His statement could be read as "It is my duty to inform all of you that I have tested positive for coronavirus. I’m feeling ok and I’m asymptomatic. I have isolated myself at home under the advice of doctors and authorities and will be under home quarantine. I thank you all in advance for your support and I will keep you all updated about my health in the days to come.
