Now, in a recent interaction with a leading daily, Malaika revealed what attracted her to Arjun and she couldn’t stop gushing about him. The 45-year-old actress said, “It’s difficult to find someone who understands you. Arjun understands me. He makes me smile and laugh and he knows me inside out. I guess that just makes everything work.” Now isn’t this so adorable to hear!
Recently, in a talk with the Hindustan Times, Malaika had poured her heart out about the 12-year age gap with boyfriend, Arjun, “The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and a ‘buddhi’. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***." On the other hand, Arjun had told the Bombay Times, “I wouldn’t even want to speak about this and give it importance. Malaika had also revealed how her son, Arhaan Khan reacted to her relationship with Arjun, “I believe the best way to approach any situation is with honesty. It’s important to tell your near and dear ones what’s happening in your life and then give them time and space to understand and process things. We have had that conversation and I am so glad that everyone is in a much happier and more honest space today."
Further revealing how is life after falling in love again for the second time, Malaika had retorted, “It feels amazing! When my marriage ended, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be in another relationship and was scared of being heartbroken. But I also wanted to be in love, nurture a relationship, and this new me gave me the confidence to put myself out there and take a chance. I am so glad I did!" Speaking about neither accepting his relationship with Malaika and nor hiding it all these months, Arjun had quipped, “I respect the fact that the media has been so respectful about our relationship. We are not hiding anything either. I am in a good personal and professional space. I hope it continues this way. I don’t want to go into the details right now. There has to be dignity in the way you conduct yourself in a relationship, and I want to maintain that. I would like to talk about it as time unfolds rather than jumping the gun. We have opened the doors to the world to know that we are together. When the time is right, I will go into details and speak about it.”
