Mallika Sherawat spoke about her experience with the film, Murder and how it made her extremely famous. Mallika discussed the song, Bheege Hont Tere from the movie, Murder in a recent interview with Ranveer Allahbadia on The Ranveer Show, a podcast. She said that while the song is incredibly beautiful, its release resulted in nothing less than a 'bawaal.' The actress described a bad incident in which a news reporter on National Television 'shamed' her.

Journalist questioned Mallika's comfort with lyrics of Bheege Hont Tere

Mallika Sherawat recounted an incident from the release of the song, Bheege Hont Tere that had caused quite an uproar. She mentioned being shamed for the song’s lyrics, recalling a time when she accompanied Mahesh Bhatt to a news channel during the promotion of Murder.

During the interview, a journalist began reciting the lyrics to her, emphasising words like 'pyaar.' He directly asked her if she felt ashamed of those lyrics. In response, Mallika asserted that she did not feel ashamed. Instead, she enjoyed the experience, which shocked the journalist.

The journalist asked Mallika Sherawat, "Aapko sharam nahi aayi (Didn’t you feel ashamed)?" The actress replied, "Nahi mujhe nahi aayi! Mujhe maza aya (No, I didn’t feel ashamed. In fact, I had a blast)!" She confidently expressed her enjoyment of the experience, surprising the journalist.
