Television actor, Manit Joura became a household name with his stint in popular television serials, including Kundali Bhagya, Prem Bandhan, Love Shagun, Ram Milaye Jodi, Adaalat and many more. In addition, Manit has also appeared in a few films like Solo, Baarish, Band Baaja Baaraat and others. Although much is known about his professional life, he loves to keep his personal life out of the media glares. As per reports, after secretly dating a German girl, Andria Panagiotopoulou, the duo tied the knot on July 9, 2023, in a hush-hush ceremony. And now, he opened up about the same and revealed a few anecdotes.
In an interview with the ETimes, Manit Jorua opened up about his hush-hush wedding with his lady love, Andria Panagiotopoulou. The actor mentioned that due to his father's deteriorating health condition, his wedding with Andria was preponed from December to July 2023, and he had to manage everything single-handedly. Further, he mentioned how his partner, Andria wasn't comfortable with the media culture, and thus, he requested complete privacy from all the guests. For the unversed, Andria is a Greek dance teacher by profession. In Manit's words:
“I was alone managing anything, including the health of my father, which was the prime reason for me to prepone everything. It was a quick call to decide the wedding. After his father’s PET Scan reports arrived, the doctors told, ‘It looks bad. It has spread all over.' Everyone told me, 'It is the right time.' I very politely in the invite told everyone to not post anything on social media, because it's also about my wife. She is not habitual in being posted about. She gets very uncomfortable."

Further, the then groom-to-be, Manit opened up about an age-old tradition in his family to carry a 110-year-old sword of his ancestors. However, as per the ritual, the names of the male members of the family usually get printed on it. But challenging the ritual, he asked his father's permission and inscribed his wife's name also on it. He added:
“I questioned my father why does it have the names of male members only? It’s wrong. I changed the tradition and requested my father. Because a woman’s role is as important in a family as a man’s. I wrote my name and my wife’s name on it."
For the uninitiated, Manit and Andria met 10 years ago as a student and a teacher. But at that time, they were only friends. Finally, in 2019, the two confessed their feelings to each other during a conversation. However, Manit was apprehensive about the relationship as Andria belonged to Greece. But by breaking such cultural barriers, Andria shared the meaning of love towards him. Then, he proposed to her in a rather filmy way at the airport. Manit revealed:
“She comes from a different country, different culture, and a different walk of life. I told her about the challenges that we would have. To this, she told me, ‘I would rather live four months in a year with you than not live without you at all in this life’. That line kinda changed and moved me. I proposed to her at the Mumbai airport, because somewhere that is the gates to our union."

“Aisa laga pehle kyun nahi kar liya (shaadi). Now I am more responsible, knowing someone is waiting for you at home. After shoot, I feel what should I take for her, to make her feel special. We are waiting for the clarity for a Greek wedding. It will mostly happen in November or December this year.”
