Manjima Mohan revealed that she was fat-shamed at her own wedding, and how few people passed nasty comments on her.
Indian actress, Manjima Mohan started the new journey of her life with Gautham Karthik on November 28, 2022. Pictures and videos of her wedding left everyone in awe. However, the actress shared a bizarre and heartbreaking incident. She revealed that she was fat-shamed by a few people at her own wedding and how she reacted to those who passed unnecessary comments.
The new bride, Manjima revealed that people fat-shamed her during her wedding festivities. In an interview with India Today, the actress shared that people trolling her for her weight doesn't affect her. She had even heard insensitive remarks in-person. She added that there was a time when it left her hurt but not anymore as she knows she can lose weight whenever she wants.

Manjima also revealed that she is into fitness and she is happy with how she looks. The actress further shared that she is open to losing weight for any work commitments. She was quoted as saying:
"In fact, even at our wedding, a few people commented about it. Earlier, it used to, but now I am comfortable with my body and I know that I can lose weight when I want to. I am into fitness and I am happy with myself. When there is a professional commitment which requires me to lose weight, I’ll definitely do it; I’m not sure why it should affect others."
On November 28, 2022, Majima posted pictures from her wedding ceremony. For the wedding, she donned a white-hued saree and looked mesmerising. The bride ditched the heavy statement jewellery and picked minimal gold jewellery. In fact, she kept her makeup subtle and radiated the bridal glow. On the other hand, her groom, Gautham wore a traditional kurta and dhoti.
For those who don't know, Gautham Karthik and Manjima have known each other while shooting for the film, Devarattam in 2019. The couple shared a good bonding. However, when Manjima got bedridden after her leg surgery, Gautham became her pillar of strength. She was living alone in Chennai, but it was Gautham and a few other friends who would often visit her during her toughest phase.
On the work front, Manjima was on a break for the past few months. However, she had clarified that she wouldn't leave the filmy duniya after her wedding.
