Manoj Bajpayee opened up about his daughter, Ava and how embarrassed he feels as she doesn't speak Hindi.
An actor par excellence, Manoj Bajpayee is one of the rarest gems of Hindi cinema. The actor, who often awestruck his fans with his versatile acting, leads a simple life. Despite being one of the leading names in the Hindi film industry, he finds solace in doing his day-to-day household chores. The actor, who is currently enjoying the success of the film, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai spoke about his daughter, Ava in a recent interview.
In a conversation with Janice Sequeira, Manoj Bajpayee got candid about his daughter, Ava and revealed why her Hindi teacher is disappointed with her. Recalling an episode when Ava came to meet him on the sets of Baaghi 2, Manoj stated:
“Ava came on my set for the first time on Baaghi 2. Ahmed Khan welcomed her, she called action also for one scene. She was pampered. She came into my van, and said, ‘Where is Tiger Shroff?' Yeh badi opportunist hai, Hindi-vindi seekh nahi rahi hai, lekin Hindi filmon ke actor iske favourite hain.”

In the same conversation, Manoj revealed how Ava gets scolded all the time for not knowing the Hindi language. Revealing how embarrassing it is for him to face her Hindi teacher, the versatile actor shared:
“Puri Angrez hai woh. Usse daant padti rehti hai phir bhi nahi bolti woh. Imagine what must be happening to her Hindi teacher. At the PTM, you know what she said? ‘Manoj ji, what is this, I was so happy to know your daughter is in my class. She doesn’t even speak Hindi. She says, ‘Mujhe Hindi aata hai’. I said, ‘Batao tumhare papa ka naam kya hai?’ And she replied, ‘Mera papa…’ It’s embarrassing for me."
Named after the veteran actor, Manoj Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee had always dreamt of making it big in cinema. It was during the release of his film, Satya, he met actress, Neha, whose debut film, Kareeb released on the same day. The two had become friends and fell in love. After dating each other for eight years, the duo tied the knot in 2006. After nearly five years of marital bliss, the couple got promoted as parents after the arrival of their baby girl, Awa Nayla in 2011.
On the work front, Manoj was last seen in the film, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.
