Manoj Bajpayee Reveals He Asked His Father To Depart His Ailing Body When The Latter Was Refusing

In a recent conversation, Manoj Bajpayee talked about the time when he had to request his father, RK Bajpayee, to leave his body to embark on his heavenly abode.

Manoj Bajpayee is one such actor in Bollywood who has defined a different form of acting. From enchanting many with even his minor roles to becoming a National Award-winning actor, Manoj indeed has an inspirational journey on his professional front. However, he, too, went through several hardships in his personal life when he lost both his parents within six months. Moreover, he shared how he had asked his father to depart his ailing body.

Manoj Bajpayee opens up about the heartbreaking moment when he lost his father while shooting for a TV series

For the unversed, Manoj Bajpayee and his father, RK Bajpayee were extremely close to each other. However, his father passed away in October 2021 at the age of 83 when he was shooting for a TV series. Now, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, he opened up about the heartbreaking moment when he had to request his ailing father to let go of his body and accept death. Manoj revealed that he was shooting for Killer Soup in a different city at that time, and his sister informed him about his father's condition. Manoj mentioned that the doctors had told the family how RK Bajpayee had already reached the end of his life but he wasn't ready to depart.

It was then, Manoj called his father and requested him to peacefully depart from his body and relieve himself from the suffering. However, when he was conversing for the last time with his father, his spot boy was sitting in front of him and listening to the same, and the latter simply broke down. But even after dealing with such a tough moment, Manoj gave his shot. The next morning, Manoj's father left for his heavenly abode. He said:

“This was the exact time when I was supposed to give a shot for Killer Soup and my spot boy was in the van. In front of him, I was talking to my father and I told him, ‘Bauji aap jaeye, bauji hogaeya and it was heartbreaking for me. My spot boy started crying, howling and I was going for my shot. That was the toughest moment for me but I dealt with it and early morning the next day, my father left. He was staying in that body to see me and when he heard me over the phone after a long time, he left his body.”

After Manoj Bajpayee lost his father, he took to his Twitter account to share his heartfelt gratitude towards his fans and followers. He mentioned how his father was the sole reason and support for him who motivated him to embark on the acting journey. The doting son and acclaimed actor had tweeted:

"Thank you all for sending prayers and love on the sad demise of my father who was the sole reason and support for me to venture on such a difficult journey which got me everything that I dreamt of!! Eternally grateful to you all."

Manoj once revealed how he missed his late parents on the National Awards felicitation day

In an interview with the ETimes, Manoj once revealed that when he was receiving the felicitation for being the 'Best Actor' at the National Awards, he felt alone. The actor further mentioned that his father used to keep track of his films, awards, honours, and everything. Now that he is gone, Manoj can easily feel a void of him in his life. Further adding to the conversation, he mentioned that his wife and daughter were supposed to be there on the National Awards felicitation day, but couldn't make it. Therefore, he missed his close ones more.
