Masaba Gupta recently shared that her friends, Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, were surprised when she revealed that she wanted a beige-themed baby shower.
Masaba Gupta is one of B-town's most admired fashion designers and actresses. She is the daughter of veteran actress, Neena Gupta, and she has established her identity through her work. Her aesthetic design, creative vision, and fun personality have made her popular. In her personal life, Masaba is married to actor, Satyadeep Misra, and the couple are all set to welcome their first baby together. A few days ago, she celebrated her baby shower, and its unique beige theme made heads turn. Recently, she shared the surprised reaction of her friend, Sonam Kapoor, when she told about wanting to have a 'biscuit and caramel' themed baby shower.
Ace fashion designer, Masaba Gupta is known for her knack for experimenting with designs and colours. She is known to blend traditional and modern designs while using unconventional prints. So, it was surreal to see her give a creative twist to her baby shower. However, Masaba shared that her friend and actress, Sonam Kapoor, was initially surprised to learn about her idea to have a 'biscuit and caramel' or beige-themed baby shower.
Recently, Masaba sat down for an interview with The Times of India and shared details about her intimate baby shower, which was filled with emotions and laughter. Masaba shared that her childhood friends, Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, were taken aback by her idea and insisted that baby showers are pink and blue. However, the designer knew that 'biscuit and caramel' themed colours were more of her vibe. Eventually, she was happy when she got her desired beige-themed baby shower with everyone close to her attending it. She was quoted as saying:
"When I told Sonam and Rhea that I wanted it to be a 'biscuit and caramel' and those colours, they were like, 'What? There's no baby shower that has ever been done in these colours. It should be pink and blue'. But I was certain that those colours are my vibe these days. They really went all out. All my favourite things and people were there."
Masaba had an intimate baby shower at Anil Kapoor's residence, which was organised by Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. In the same interview, she shared that she was happy to have an intimate baby shower with all the guests close to her. She shared that there wasn't anyone with whom she didn't share any personal equation. Also, the fact that her childhood friends hosted it made the event more special. In her words:
"There was not even one person that I didn't have a personal connection with. We just had a good time and we took lots of photos. It was nice to celebrate with people who have seen my journey. Sonam and Rhea are childhood friends of mine, so, it was even more special that they hosted it."
Masaba Gupta attended her baby shower with her husband, Satyadeep Misra, and mom, Neena Gupta. Its guest list included Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, chef Pooja Dhingra, etc. Also, they had food and games based on the theme, with a menu that included several delicious cakes, biscuits, cookies, etc.
