Masaba Gupta's sister-in-law lost her home in the Los Angeles wildfire, like many others. The famous designer-actor shared the ordeal.
Masaba Gupta's family has been in distress in the past few days, as the year 2025 started with the worst news coming out of Los Angeles. Several people, including celebrities, lost their homes in the wildfires, which have not yet calmed down. Now, the famous designer-turned-actor, Masaba revealed that her sister-in-law's family also suffered the loss in the Los Angeles wildfire.
Masaba Gupta's sister-in-law, Chinmaya Misra, lost her home in the wildfires in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles in the United States. Taking to her Instagram stories, Masaba revealed that her sister-in-law and her family lost their home. She called it a devastating few days and revealed that her 16-year-old niece has started a fundraiser to rebuild their lives in LA. She wrote:
"My sister-in-law and her family have lost their home to the fire in the Pacific Palisades.. like so many other families. While they are safe, it has been a devastating past few days, and my 16-year-old niece has started a fundraiser to help rebuild their lives in LA. If you are able to donate, it would help tremendously. If you are not - a prayer goes a long way too."
Masaba's husband, Satyadeep Misra, also expressed his concern about seeing his sister's home being destroyed. He took to his Instagram handle and shared devasting view of everything destroyed by the wildfire. He expressed how her sister's family suffered the loss overnight. He wrote:
"This is what remains of it after the fire." He added, "Unimaginable..to lose one's home and belongings overnight. My sister's house was one of the many that got burned down in the Palisades fire in LA...her 16 year old daughter has set up a gofundme page.. pls help the young lady out."
Masaba Gupta is married to Satyadeep Mishra. They met on the sets of Masaba-Masaba and fell in love. It is Masaba and Satyadeep's second marriage. Earlier, Masaba Gupta was married to Madhu Mantena. On the other hand, Satyadeep Mishra was married to Aditi Rao Hydari. In an earlier interview with Vogue, Masaba talked about her hush-hush wedding with her beau, Satyadeep. She shared that she didn't want to spend money to please people. She wanted a private moment that she could enjoy with the people she truly cared for. She said:
"The idea of choosing something intimate was because we're both conscious of not wasting ridiculous amounts of money. We are extremely private people, and we want to be in the presence of family and loved ones for memorable days like these. We've both been there before, and we saw that it doesn't make sense to do things that stress you out on such an important day. This is truly a private moment for both of us, and more than anything, we wanted to enjoy it."
