According to multiple reports, Mayur Raj Verma was born in 1964 in Mumbai. Not much information is available about his family background in the public domain. However, as per a report in ETimes, Mayur's mother was a renowned journalist of her time, as she used to conduct interviews with film stars.
It was during her conversation with filmmaker, Prakash Mehra, that the latter told her that he was searching for a child actor, who could play Amitabh Bachchan's younger version in the film. It was when Mayur Raj Verma's mother suggested him for the role.
As soon as Prakash Mehra saw Mayur Raj's photograph, he immediately casted him as a young Amitabh Bachchan in the iconic film, Muqaddar Ka Sikander. Soon after the film's release, Master Mayur's uncanny resemblance to Amitabh Bachchan left everyone absolutely stunned.
The child actor, Master Mayur became a star overnight and soon received a series of film offers. For the uninitiated, Master Mayur played Big B's younger version in a series of movies like Laawaris, Love in Goa, Sharabi, Kanoon Apna Apna, and many more.
After appearing as a child actor in multiple movies, Mayur Raj Verma received a lot of opportunities to work as a lead actor in movies. However, it was his performance in Mahabharat as 'Abhimanyu' that made him a renowned face across India. The report further stated that in the following years, Mayur Raj Verma relocated to Wales, where they laid the foundation of a restaurant.
