Bigg Boss 18 is back with a bang, and this year around, there is a new set of contestants all from different walks of life. The first-ever content to enter the show this season is television actress, Chahat Mani Pandey. The actress seemed like a fun personality and left the audiences intrigued. So here's everything you need to know about Chahat.
Chahat Mani Pandey, a name that resonates with millions, was born and raised in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. At the age of 17, she made her acting debut in the 2016 TV show, Pavitra Bandhan. Her popularity soared with each role she portrayed, from Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahi to Crime Patrol Satark, Savdhaan India, and Tenali Rama. Her breakthrough came with the lead role in the 2019 show Hamari Bahu Silk, which further cemented her position as a fan favourite.
Since then, Chahat Pandey has led other popular serials, such as Dwarkadheesh Bhagwan Shree Krishna, Sarvkala Sampann, and Durga, Mata Ki Chhaya. The actress was last seen in the TV series Nath on Dangal TV before taking a break from acting to concentrate on her political career. In 2023, Chahat Pandey joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election.
Unlike her glorious acting career, Chahat did not have a successful political career. In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh State Assembly elections, the actress joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and contested the polls from her hometown, Damoh. Chahat lost by a huge margin and only received 2292 votes, thus also losing her security deposit. In her post-election statement, Chahat expressed her disappointment but also her determination to continue serving the people of Damoh.
In 2020, Chahat Pandey was arrested, along with her mother, for allegedly breaking into her uncle's apartment, vandalising it, and assaulting him. Later, she was granted bail.
Chahat Pandey was the first contestant to enter the show, and she definitely impressed the audience with her bubbly and fun nature. At the same time, Chahat's personality seemed very raw, and she reminded many of Bigg Boss OTT 2's Manisha Rani. The second contestant on the show, Avinash Mishra, revealed that he and Chahat had a tiff in their last show as the latter tried to portray herself as their mighty one in the show.
We are excited to see more of Chahat Pandey in Bigg Boss 18. What do you think?
