American pop sensation, Halsey is now officially engaged to Avan Jogia. In April 2023, Halsey split with her long-time beau, Alev Aydin, and after a few months, the Manic singer was back in the dating game with Avan as the duo officially announced their romance in September 2023. And now, a few months later the couple has announced their relationship.
Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, popularly known as Halsey, is an American songwriter and singer who initially gained attention from self-released music on social media platforms. Halsey is known for her distinctive singing voice and started writing music when she was 17. Music lovers are in awe of Halsey, but only a few know about the man of her life, Avan Jogia. In an exclusive byte to E, Halsey announced her engagement with Avan. She expressed her delight over being loved by someone so great and how he cherishes her the most. Halsey also added that she feels the most comfortable with Avan, and that's the best aspect of their relationship. She further added:
"Avan is the best. He's one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. And every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel like I'm with my best friend."
Halsey added that her 3-year-old son, Ender, whom she shares with her ex, Alev Aydin, is also very fond of Avan. The latter always makes her son feel comfortable and wanted, and this quality of his appeals the most to her.
Avan Jogia, a Canadian actor, has garnered a significant fan base with his role in Victorious, where he was starred alongside Ariana Grande. He has also been a part of teen dramas like Twisted, Ghost Wars, Now Apocalypse, The Stranger, and Orphan Black: Echoes, among others. The actor also had a pivotal role in the science fiction series, Caprica, a spin-off series to the 2003 Battlestar Galactica reboot. His popularity extends to the big screen with roles in films such as Zombieland: Double Tap, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, and Johnny & Clyde. Avan, at 32, has previously dated Zoey Deutch and Cleopatra Coleman.
Avan Tudor Jogia was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His father is Mike Jogia, and he is of British-Indian and Gujarati descent. His ancestors from his father's side are English and German. His mother, Wendy Jogia, has Welsh descents. Avan Jogia also has an elder brother named Ketan, a music producer in London, UK.
A year back, Halsey and Avan were, for the first time, spotted in and around the city. The couple was seen sharing a passionate kiss amidst the chaos of the city. Soon after, the duo stopped to watch a live performance where they were seen embracing each other. This was just the start of their relationship. Talking about her romance with Avan, Halsey added:
"I'm in a relationship and its been exceptional..I think having you know the right fit of a romantic relationship you know cuz sometimes it's not anyone's fault sometimes it's just not the right fit um and we're the right fit and you know because of that he I think has the ability to really show up in a way that has given me so much healing you know."
In an interview with the She MD Podcast, Halsey shared that Avan has helped her heal in life, and he isn't even aware of it. Avan has helped her to accept herself and express herself like never before. In Halsey's words:
"He has made me like be able to accept myself and allow me to say when I don't feel well or when I don't want to do something."
