Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives is back with a brand new season and a total revamp. Yes, the show’s third season has been renamed to Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. On that note, it is set to feature an exciting battle between the film star hub, Mumbai, and the capital city, Delhi. So, fans are already buckling in for a drama-filled ride as curiosity increases about the three new high-society entrants. Shalini Passi, in particular, has captivated viewers’ attention with her vibrant personality and impeccable fashion sense.
Born and raised in Delhi, Shalini Passi started out as a state-level gymnast. However, she soon realised that her true passion lay in art. Since then, Shalini has devoted her life to not only creating art but also to supporting it in every possible way.
Shalini founded the My Art Shalini initiative and the Shalini Passi Art Foundation. Her aim with both of these projects is to give emerging artists in India a platform to showcase their work. She also founded the MASH organisation with the hopes of bringing together the worlds of art, fashion, architecture, design, and craft.
As artist, Shalini Passi loves creating vibrant pieces that immerse the observers in mentally stimulating themes. Identity, culture, and social issues are often represented in her work. Shalini also likes experimenting with different mediums, like painting, sculpture, and installation.
Shalini often shares glimpses of her creative process and inspiration through her exhibitions and social media handles. However, Shalini’s talents aren’t limited to art. On the show, she revealed her wide range of interests, including dancing, singing, archery, shooting, scuba diving, and fashion.
While in conversation with Architectural Digest, Shalini reflected on her artistic journey. Revealing that it wasn’t just a piece’s beauty but also its history that fascinated her, she said:
“I’ve always been an artist at heart with an eye for meaningful objects. I’m obsessive—if I come across something beautiful or intriguing, I research it endlessly. I visit museums, explore antique shops, examine fabrics, and touch the textures of stone. The beauty and history behind objects fascinate me. Refinement is key.
Not only is Shalini Passi multi-talented and drop-dead gorgeous, but she also has a big heart. The art connoisseur has been educating underprivileged children in Delhi since 2010. She conducted workshops on arts and crafts for their benefit. Also, Shalini and her husband, Sanjay Passi made a generous donation of Rs. 10 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in 2021.
Shalini’s natural affinity for art is well reflected in her stately home at Golf Links. In fact, her abode could almost be an art gallery in itself. Both contemporary and antique art are tastefully featured in her 20,000-square-foot residence.
Shalini’s stunning boomerang-shaped abode boasts 14 rooms and a sprawling lawn embellished with striking art installations. Talking about what she loved most about her house and her many art pieces, she told Architectural Digest:
“People ask me what I love most about the house or which art pieces are my favorite, and I always say it depends on the season and my mood.”
