Ahead of the interview, CBS released two teasers and it was Meghan Markle’s choice of jewellery that's stealing the limelight. Check out how she honoured Princess Diana with her choice of jewellery.
Back in 1977, the heir to the throne, Prince Charles was introduced to the future Princess of Wales, Diana Frances Spencer, when she was just 16, during a grouse-shooting sport at Althorp. He was dating her elder sister, Sarah at that time and when their relationship fizzled out, Charles and Diana didn’t see each other until 1980. Despite their 12-year age difference, they started dating and only after meeting just 13 times in person (reportedly), he had proposed to her. February 25, 1981, had marked to be a special day as the royal couple announced their engagement and it was revealed that he had popped the question with a gorgeous 18-carat oval sapphire and diamond ring, which was estimated to cost around Rs 30 lakhs back then. Princess Diana’s engagement ring was earlier given to her son, Prince Harry after her death but he had eventually given it to his brother, Prince William to propose to the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine. Princess Diana had written her own fashion rules and became an inspiration, not just back then, but even today, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex follow her style statements sometimes.
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had renounced their royal status, the couple is hitting the headlines. Now that the couple will soon be making an appearance for a conversation with Oprah Winfrey, royal fans can’t wait for the pre-recorded interview. Ahead of the interview, CBS released two teasers and it was Meghan’s choice of jewellery that's stealing the limelight. The to-be second-time mother, Meghan opted for a black mid-length dress which she paired with a necklace and a bracelet. Her bracelet was a tribute to Princess Diana. Reportedly, this was the same bracelet of Princess Diana from which Prince Harry had taken two stones to get Meghan's engagement ring made.
In one of the teasers released by CBS, Prince Harry reminisced his mother's struggle. Holding hands with Meghan Markle, he had said, "You know for me I'm just relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side. Because I can't begin to imagine what it must have been for her (mum Diana) going through this process by herself all those years ago. It has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we had each other." (Also Read: Oprah Winfrey Hints That 'Royal Life' Was 'Unsurvivable' For Prince Harry And Meghan Markle)

He got on one knee.”
Revealing that she didn’t even let him finish proposing, Prince Harry had said, “She didn't even let me finish. She said, "Can I say yes? Can I say yes?" and then were was hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like, "Can I - can I give you the ring?" She goes, "Oh yes the ring." So no it was - it was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch - catch her by surprise as well.” When asked, “What does it mean to you Meghan to have those stones on your finger that once belonged to Princess Diana?” She had retorted, “I think everything about Harry's thoughtfulness is - and the inclusion of that and obviously not being able to meet his mom it's so important to me to - to know that she's a part of this with us. And I think in being able to meet his aunts and - and also like Julia and just different people who were so important to his mom, I'm able to, in some way, know a part of her through them and of course through him. And it's - it's incredibly special. And you know to be able to have this which sort of links where you come from and Botswana which is important to us and it's - it's perfect.” (Also Read: Irina Shayk Talks About Her Relationship With Ex Bradley Cooper And Co-Parenting Their Daughter, Lea)
