While the quarantine has made us socially distance ourselves from our friends and family, having a partner or a companion by our side during the lockdown is a blessing. While some are giving time to their parents and some are enjoying the phase with their kids, some are spending quality time with their partners. But some have found a new company and they are making the most of the lockdown period to get to know each other. Chahatt Khanna and her neighbour, Mika Singh belong to the latter category and they are enjoying the ‘quarantine love’ by learning music. Giving a glimpse of how they are spending their time together, Chahatt had posted a series of twinning-in-black pictures on her Instagram account. Chahatt had captioned them as “Lets be someone’s quarantine, Glad we found each other in this lockdown #quarantinelove @mikasingh #learningmusic.”
Going through Chahatt Khanna’s Instagram stories, we got a glimpse of the lovely dinner date she had with her neighbour, Mika Singh. Dressed in a cream and red coloured saree, Chahatt wrote, “Tnx for the lovely dinner #quarantinelove” atop the video with Mika Singh, who wore a blue suit. Chahatt also posted a selfie to wish ‘good morning’ to Mika, in which she can be seen wearing a white shirt. Reposting the picture, Mika wrote, “Good morning dear. Sharing an array of pictures with Chahatt Khanna, Mika Singh wrote, “There are so many things we can do during this #qurantine, learn new art, learn music, pamper ur partner, cook your favourite meal, so much to do at home, so stay home, stay safe and stay tuned :) #quarantinelove .. #mikasingh. Thanks dear @chahattkhanna.” In an interview with the IANS, Chahatt had revealed about her collaboration for a music video with Mika and was quoted as saying, "Mika and I had plans of collaborating since a long time, but nothing had materialised. But now that we are just homebound, and we are neighbours, we thought of creating something exciting. It was just the two of us who shot it, and we had taken all the precautions while shooting it. It was in July 2018 when Bade Achhe Lagte Hain fame, Chahatt Khanna had posted a picture with her daughters and had hashtagged it with ‘single mom’ in the caption. Since then, she has been grabbing a lot of headlines for her personal front. In some shocking turn of events, Chahatt and her now estranged husband, Farhan Mirza had ended their 5 years of marriage in 2018. And after an ugly spat, it seems like Chahatt has moved on in her life and is happily living with her two daughters, Zoharr Mirza and Amaira Mirza.
With the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, the struggles have doubled in every house. In an interview with The Times of India, when Chahatt Khanna was asked if she has any advice for the mothers to manage their kids in the quarantine, she had retorted, "Please keep them indoors. Give them household tasks to keep them busy, let them study and play from home and build their immune system."
Emphasising on the challenges that are put forth as a single mother, Chahatt Khanna had said, "It's very difficult to be in the house and there are two kids who want my attention 24 by 7. So, I can't even step out, I can't even do anything. Of course, being a single parent is more difficult because I don't have anyone to watch my back. So, what I am doing is - giving them the household tasks, specially my elder one. I give her credits and I give her the household tasks to complete. With all of this, I am also taking care of their immunity and giving them vitamin C. So, they don't fall sick."
